I recently picked up the green hornet and have been practicing with it for awhile to the point where by lips hurt. Any advice on how to reduce that? As for the cow/calf calls sound mint!
I would reduce your practice time. 5 minutes a day should be plenty. Practice enough to when you put the call in your mouth, you are confident in the sounds that will come out without any surprises.
Try biting a little harder. The harder you bite, the higher pitch you get. Some folks run it upside down as in, the reed facing your lower lip rather than your upper lip. Some even place their upper teeth on the reed instead of their lip covered teeth

Should you use a cow call during second season rifle? Never used em before not sure if its only for rut / bow season?

Hello, thank you for the video! I bought a phelps ez estrus green mtn camo with wood barrel and i cant make sharp noise with it like you. any advice?
