Just came across your channel today and I've been enjoying your budget-with-me videos. I am still trying to get a month ahead in YNAB. I've been working all summer on getting off the credit card float and finally am caught up there so hopefully the month ahead is not too far in my future. It's inspiring to watch you release the money to budget the next month! Thanks for taking the time to record these and congratulations on how far you've come. That's an impressive amount of debt to pay off in a short amount of time!

I’m curious why you’ve tucked away $500 to your YNAB category when you only need about $90 a year. I can see you’re mindful about your money so I bet there is a good story there. Much respect from a fellow YNABer.
Good question! That category is for things that we only pay once per year. I often forget about them, so I keep $500 here to cover them whenever they are taken out. This includes YNAB, car registration, and any other subscriptions that only happen once per year. I don’t want a category for each of those things. Hope this helps!
