    My wife really loves this story, it's so beautiful and surely reveals the true nature of God, it is the whole story of why He sent His only Son, to redeem us.
    Kyrie eleison Kyrie eleison Kyrie eleison. Xristos anesti xristos anesti xristos anesti. Very movingly explained, Father. Wish we could visit your church, we don't even have a church anywhere near us here. God bless you. 🙏☦️💙💖💖💖💖

    Reformed tradition usually depicts a merciless god often who has only selected a few people to be saved and the rest bound for hell just because He chose that before hand; a god who punishes people with rape, murder, disease and other evils as His eternal decree. Once I read how the early Gnostics viewed god and the apparent similarities between reformed tradition I knew that the Protestant reformation was heresy; Calvinists and Lutherans have Scriptures to “back up” these views but so have other heretics throughout the centuries. We must understand the faith through the Church otherwise we will be led to embrace our own personal opinions outside the bounds of the Christian revelation

      @@Trisagionfilms I guess you don't know your own St. Augustine, nor the venerable St. Thomas Aquinas, nor St. Paul who says Romans 10:22 "Note then the kindness and the severity of God: severity toward those who have fallen, but God’s kindness to you, provided you continue in his kindness. Otherwise you too will be cut off." God is both Loving and rich and mercy, and severe against the unrepentant. He has all right to do that because he is at the top. And no the reformed does not depict him that way. Maybe dumb reformed people... but not balanced ones. I am a balanced reformed. But I have been learning from various christian groups such as orthodox and catholic here and there. We never say such accusatory things as what you are saying - Cole. God judges rapists and murderers. He always punishes evil ones if they do not repent. But he is also loving offering kindness to all. God bless

      @@derekn8535 1) Augustine is venerated as the defender of Arianism, not because of his views on anything else for the most part (e.g. original sin, his view on grace, hell, etc) 2) Aquinas is not an orthodox saint 3) The comparison to gnosticism is not so much in specifics as it is in the general paradigm or worldview reformed people have. It’s a weird platonic/Aristotelian hybrid and is not uniquely christian like the early and orthodox church today is. Of course God punishes and chastises, but he isn’t cruel or hateful or angry. The reformed begin their approach with their theory of justification and then throw everything else after that and this is why you part ways so much from the early church. Christ, who he was, and what his relationship is to the trinity were always the first questions they tried understand and their theories of justification, etc. flow out of that. This is why you need the church, the literal body of christ

    Father, what writings of the Holy Fathers do you recommend for helping to understand the Old Testament? I definitely see how certain churches come to the conclusion of a wrathful God simply due to the language and descriptions used. I would very much like some guidance along the way. Thank you and God bless you!

      Two reasons...
      -1. Our entire liturgy is a living sermon wherein everyone participates equally as a worshipper, and not as an observer.
      -2. The priest/pastor is not the center of our worship, Jesus Christ is, especially as He manifests His presence in the holy Eucharist.

Father I'm really struggling with this ecumenical movement, is it wrong, is it right, the old caledarist or the new , please enlighten me a bit on whether I should embrace a non ecumenical doctrine or the main stream Greek Orthodox ecumenical church, please help me on this issue, thank you and God love you.

    Well said. Now at f only your Christian reformers who number in the thousands can put aside their pride, Sola scriptura, and their lack a f reverence for our most holy Theotokos and learn that prior to Martin Luther the truth was already there from the one catholic and apostolic church and the work of the 7 ecumenical councils.

    • @theclassic6198
      @theclassic6198 4 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      Anderson Caviedes ...... every word from St. Paul we claim to be Scripture. That means we preach it. Romans 1 is about the wrath if God against unrighteousness and evil. Just like Revelation says about the 7 vials of wrath from God. Christ became the Curse to conquer the Curse. He became dead to conquer death. The Atonement is a hard subject bro. But God was not demanding Jesus Christ to be punished, but He was showing us True Fatherly Love by opening the gates of repentance thru His only begotten Son Jesus .
