The issue is that:
1. They picked the most woke voice actor that hates video game fans and has the worst rhetoric ever, why would anyone want to fund that by giving them money?
2. They made the female main character ugly and old, it's always the same with this.
3. This was supposed to be a story about Jin Sakai, and he just got completely removed from the game.
4. Sony has been sus and woke for a while, considering point 1, 2 and 3, it's hard to NOT think that this is a political move more than "we just want to make a main female character".
1. Its very similar to how some people won't buy into a product if it has Kevin Sorbo or Chris Pratt involved, because of their strongly held beliefs. Just a matter of the shoe being on the other foot, but when one side does it its "Abuse", and when the other side does it its "Conscientious Boycotting".
@@BobExcalibur Yes, you are completely correct, and I don't care one bit. Each time the "anti-woke" tried to be "better", all they did was lose. Now that most gamers see a little bit of wokeness, they decide to not buy it. What's the difference? You're still not buying because of someone's politics, you're just mistrusting multiple people rather than just a single individual.
And let's be honest, there is nothing good in believing woke garbage. Some cultures are inferior, deal with it.

I just don’t get how the developers were able to say “this is good”. It’s like they aren’t able to comprehend the idea of self awareness. Everything in the game makes it look like it should be a parody, but it obviously isn’t.

Asmongold's "Do I have to play as a woman?" comment about AC: Shadows was a reference to the last two AC games. Valhalla and Odyssey both let you choose either a male or female protagonist if you wished, so its not an unreasonable question to ask about a new game in the series.

2:13 most of the discourse from the new Ghost game would be mostly the aftermath from Outlaws and other games that kept making poorly written female characters, I feel like Sucker Punch will make a decent game, one may hope.
+1 but not all:
Sucker Punch team got nearly/if not fully replaced, so the Tsushima Team is doing something else
The VA/model actress is known to be very controversial
I will say, there are two games that are way better than this, hyper drifter, which is a top down, linked to the past, silent narrative game. And then you got solar ash, which is an action platforming, fast-paced, moving, shadow of the colossus meets jet set radio game.
