As someone who worked on the previous Flatouts, I've managed this far without actually seeing gameplay of this... thing. Oh I knew it existed before it launched, but have steered way far. I can't believe multiple someones got paid to actual money to release this hasty sellout using our games' name. Please, don't pay three pounds for this. Just don't buy it. At all. With the sales now on, you can get both FlatOut and FlatOut 2 for about three pounds. And no, I won't make any money if you do.
Jaroneko FlatOut Ultimate Carmage is also great ! I still play it every Saturday ! I love it ! In this game, The AI don't chase you but in FlatOut 2 and Ultimate Carnage, they're crazy !!!! Jack Benton and Sara martinez everytime try to destroy me... Sally and Frank always get wrecked..

Ultimate carnage was good too. It was a remaster of fo2 but still imo Flatout 2 was full of content, variety of cars, insane gameplay. And always fun to pick up and play. 1 was good but the variety of cars are lacking but fo2 fixed that.
4 is my favorite, but 1, 2, and UC are lots of fun to me too
So, I find this on steam and I'm like: hmm, I thought the third FlatOut is Ultimate Carnage. So I lookup some footage on youtube thinking "OMG OMG, another FlatOut and I missed it, OMG another hundred hours lost smashing cars coming my way".
Then I find this video and I'm like: WTF!!??!!!???!!????!!!!

Fallout 3 is still bad, Todd lied about 90% of the game (FALLOUT 3 WILL HAVE 400 ENDINGS) and it's awful

Flatout 2 was one of my favorite games growing up, still is.
The derbys, stunts like long jump, bowling and darts are still an absolute blast

it's not lag but a dropping of frames. All the frames aren't being drawn and so we see stuttering from the inconsistency. Lag can describe an online match say where your actions aren't immediately registered on account of the distance from the server. Or any game where the fps is reduced so such that it introduces input latency. The only thing this video shows is a not especially marvelous framerate and not lag
This game isnt as bad as people say it is. but i agree this is no flatout though. its more like burnout in terms of physics. the destruction derby mode is near broken since the AI never seems to stop chasing you and you get stuck on their front bumper.

It's fucked up, i can't even turn without crashing on 90% of cars. On 10% of cars i can complete lap. It's that bad. I don't know any big racing game with worse physics than this. And graphics... My eyes hurt. .____. 10/blur

+ionic0 Not really, the only similarity I see between this and Burnout is how it resets you after a crash. The physics are nothing alike though, the crash physics in Burnout were just as good as flat out, although the driving felt a little less like a sim racer and more like Daytona USA, at least when compared to Flat Out 1 (Flat Out 2 was a bit more arcady).

I know this video is seven years old, but I appreciate the fact that Dan didn't fill out the video title with something like "THIRD WORST GAME ON STEAM?!?" with a bunch of arrows all over the thumbnail. You don't even know that it involves the third-worst rated game on Steam until you start the video.
Apparently the publisher uploaded a buggy version of this game to Steam before it was fully tested and gold master status, and when Team 6 Games (the developers) found out to their horror it was live they sent an update to fix it. Until today there is no upload of this fixed version though by the publisher.

Currently a sale on all 4 Flatouts on Steam for this week, and I never heard of Flatout 3 **recent PC adopter, mainly played consoles** so, just got FO1, 2, UC. The cars in this game are great, would love to have monster trucks and a '59 Caddy in the real FO games, but this one is just horrid.
It's also still stupid expensive. Take this game, put it on Bugbear's engine, and it would be gold.

I heard this game was truly awful so steered well clear of it (pun not intended) Played the other Flatout games on Xbox and thought they were pretty good, decent soundtracks too, but this, this unholy awful effort of a game is something the developers should be ashamed of making, creating and publishing, let alone asking people to play it. To me it looks like a poorly made/rushed PS2 game, like one of the last ever ones to be quickly pushed out simply to make cash.

I think what sets this apart from the other hell games is someone actually put effort into it, someone did try to make a good game. did they succeed? No. Is it worth 25$? Hell no. But they did try and that deserves some credit

LOL, so funny. If the game had good physics and good graphics i would think the other side of Scrapyevil world would be the coolest things. The derby track and the whole style reminded me that when i was 10 years i used to play Destruction Derby 2 on PS1 and somehow it still seems one funniest and coolest games compared to some new games, the worlds of that game was my favorite part, full of evilness and if you noticed the demolition derby stadium in Flat Out 3 has same kind of styling, full of evil :D, other factor is that in destruction derby 2 there were all these other psycho characters, they had the best names and looks in destruction derby 2 :D something seems like that Flat Out 3 is based on scrappy PS1 game engine and made almost all scrap. If that game had realistic car physics, the graphics fixed and had still that evil look with funny psycho characters i would play the hell out of it, also some better tracs should have been added :D like in destruction derby 2 ;) :D lol

Because the new owner of the IP wanted to cash in on the name and got the lowest bidder to do the dirty work. Only thing "FlatOut" in this is the name. Different engine and assets by a different studio under a different publisher that had access to the IP through corporate acquisitions.

the graphics look almost exactly the same as the second game. i feel like it pulled a saints row. meaning the graphics stayed the same but they slapped another number on it, making it better in some way. but the second game is amazing. not the best graphics. but its enjoyable.

This is definitely the worst one in the series because Bugbear was not involved in the development... The car models, track designs, physics engine and overall graphics are awful and could have put some more effort on them.. Even the PSP version of Flatout looks far superior than this, despite the console limitation...
