You should listen to whole from first song to last. The 1st half of album is country. Then this song starts out as country then this song starts. It starts as country then flipped to hard rock sorta at middle. The songs after this song are hard rock. Pure songwriting genius & album lay out.
You know, I feel like your words a very powerful, especially because when I look at Revelation 3:16 I'm reminded God warns us that if we are lukewarm, neither hot nor cold, Will spit us out. It makes me see the vast "lukewarm" feelings everyone wants us to have in public. Any time we're in public we hear "You can feel that way at home, but don't tell ME, don't parade it around." It makes me ask two questions: 1) If we don't see the raw cold actions and beliefs some are being fooled into, how can we fix it? How can we understand a person is on a wrong path if they aren't allowed to say anything they're thinking. If they have passions that God doesn't agree with at least if I see it we can discuss it, we can talk, and possibly they can see why this might be a path they maybe don't want to take. 2). If we see the lukewarm being spread everywhere, with vigor, shouldn't that be some sign that maybe it's the TIME to be hot about our faith, and more than ever say "I'm not lukewarm. Think what you will of me."
Your comment about being lukewarm was spot on. Like you have said the individual in a Lukewarm state is in denial of his condition, and is unable to see himself. I tent to look 👀 at my own life and to examine it just to make sure this is not happening to me spiritually, as we should all do as Christians.
