    I have it in a Regal with 60k. Flawless to this point. Great engine.

    bought a 23 camaro with this engine. i have 10K miles right now. i change the oil every 3K miles, premium fuel only, and let the turbo cool down before shut off. hope to get a lot of miles from this car

      I have a 14 regal GS I was plagued with the cracked pistons BUT had it replaced and so far ZERO issues, I have about 140k miles and other than the piston issue overall reliable.

    Generally a good engine, if maintained with proper gasoline and oil. Avoid engine mods/tunes unless you change the pistons to forged.

    My 2019 Equinox has one of these 272hp turbo motors. Goes pretty good with the 9 speed auto. Zero problems with the motor at 91,000 miles. Pulled a 1300 lb trailer 3000 miles, gas mileage suffered and there was the added cost of 89 octane fuel. But at 55mph with no wind on level ground, it says it's getting 33-38 mpg, get a good tailwind and will get over 40mph easily at even higher speed. Over the last 3000 miles, I've averaged 31mpg with mostly highway driving at 55-70mph

      Is it a crate motor or stock? I thought the stock motor was 252 hp on the nox? I own a 18 Nox with 2.0/9 spd. Great car!

    Id like to see one built to 800hp+ in the Camaro to see how it performs.

    Engine good for 360,000 miles before a cheap rebuild.❤

      Did you have to get the intake valves cleaned because of Direct Injection?

    Run 93 octane and change the oil every 3500 not 7500 miles, and it will last forever. Dirty oil and low octane gas will nuke pistons.

    Coolants leaks and vacuum leaks are common other than that great engine

    Is The 1.5 Turbo GM Engine in the Chevy Malibu as reliable as the 2.0 turbo engine?

      You thought wrong! This motor is a beast and is built like a brick shit house and puts out like a well. You know what.

    Good engines ! Its just all the little things to save .02% better fuel economy like all other manufactures ! And thats not an open deck cyl cooling block !

    Anytime a major automobile company puts plastic coolant lines and elbows in from the factory that tells me they don't want to build reliable products. GM, Ford and Chrysler used to build great reliable quality products back in the 60s and 70s and some of the 80s but not anymore. Boo big 3

    • @noname-pb9vj
      @noname-pb9vj 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I'd rather plastic elbow fail than moving the problem in the engine.
