After The debacle that was New Gundam Breaker, this looks like a true return to the old formula from GB 1-3. Definitely picking this up day 1 myself. Also happy that it's not a game you have to import to play outside of Japan or Asia, so the DLCs will be far more readily available. I'm seriously considering dropping $100 on the Ultimate Edition just as my way of saying: "Give us more of this, and not New Gundam Breaker!"

If it's anything like GB3, then yes. GB3 let you play through story missions, even your first time doing that particular story mission with up to 3 other players (with AI you could only have up to two allies). I doubt they would stop you from playing with friends for any reason, as that's one of the best parts of the game.
CNT was a little flaccid on enemy AI. Boss PG Unicorn was a threat but that was it. okay okay I can see what people are talking about smh… the graphics aren’t terrible but they could of been a bit better. Also gameplay seems a bit stiff kind of like in NGB. hope it actually ends up getting better eventually.

@@Kingjames91 The AI could still be quite nasty when using other player's creations though. So you can still get a challenge from Bounty Hunter Mode. Though hopefully in GB4, Bounty Hunter Mode lets you bring AI allies with you, rather than only allowing other players to help you in those fights.
The gameplay looks mid compared to ac6 and mecha break, but I suppose the main draw is more so the customization and all that, I'll be happy if the customization is good
This was never supposed to be like Armored Core. It's for fans of the Gundam franchise who want to build and customize their own machines and then fight hordes of enemies with them (Gundam is pretty much all about that whole "One Man Army" bit with the titular Gundams). It's also a great alternative for people who can't afford Gunpla or have no experience with building Gunpla, they can still build their own custom machines and show them off via Gundam Breaker. The customization in GB3 was already really good, so GB4 should hopefully be even better. For instance, you could get the Strike Freedom's backpack for the ability to use it's DRAGOONs, but you could also get Funnel Racks as separate mod parts to allow for even more "All Range Attack" shenanigans. Or you could get stuff like shoulder/backpack mounted gatling guns, missile pods, etc. And aside from the larger mod parts like the gatling guns, you could mount the smaller mod parts like the funnel racks and missile pods on any part of the machine's body, from the arms, shoulders, or torso, to even the legs or head, and adjust their positioning to make it look as "smooth" as possible.
The reason why this game isn’t as good as it should be is because they focused on making it portable for the Nintendo switch. If they made this game specific for Xbox ps5 and pc then they would have made it better with enhanced graphics and frame rate.

Not 100% sure about hard story sequences, don’t quote me, but it does let you select missions you havnt cleared yet so there’s hope

Why are the CPUs not getting back up after being hit? Kinda take the challenge away from it. Seems boring to hit something that isn't fighting back.
The overall difficulty was quite low on these basic missions. That is something they announced they’re addressing before the next one
