Love the Gabbie Mashall who does not second guess herself. Keep shooting when you are open and don't worry about whether or not the defender is too close. Gabbie, rocks! Live life with the same unselfish spirit.
Good to see her earlier days, she has both drives and midrange shots. She also makes some good plays. Then she transitioned from a combo guard to a shooting guard that focuses on defense after clark joined the team. I think it would have been great if she continued to polish her midrange and attacks to the basket aside from her 3s. That would have given them more scoring options and plays. Still, fantastic improvement to her throughout the years.
IMO Gabbie Marshall is a TEAM player. Often when Iowa has the ball Gabbie is on the perimeter watching Clark magic. But this is an important role by spreading the opposition’s defense.
Wow! to see her freshman self shake, bake, drive and/or step back, hungry for the score. That's an overlooked sacrifice she made later to fit on a really great team that needed other roles filled. Gabbie Marshall is a great, all-around gamer.
