      @Dee Vee FWIW, Dave is actually one of the kindest guys I've met in Hollywood. Actually, everyone in Jane's is. Super cool, unpretentious and exceedingly humble.

      he hit on my friend who was 16 at the time in 2019 at universal, repeatedly after she told him her age too. insisted on taking a picture with her on her polaroid camera. great guitarist, but definitely creepy and weird

    Dave is a very humble guy and John has dealt with his Demons and luckily came back from being to far gone. John will always be my favorite Peppers guitarist.

    I saw the Chili Peppers back in 88, not long after John joined the band. I’ve always envied him immensely. His look (back then), his rock star persona, his skill as a guitarist, he’s such a badass musician!

    Dave's a great guy and a great guitarist...I wish he was the one to replace John after his departure in '08...I really like the heavier rock influences that he brought to the band, it sounded great combined with the funk influences.

      I agree! some of chads best drumming is on that album, I really felt like they moved in unison on ohm. My problem with josh still is I feel like he’s just playing behind flea n chad and not really influencing their sound all that much

    one hot minute is so underrated and probably my favorite RHCP album just because it's so different from anything else. janes addiction is real good too.

      It is an excellent album, a little more hard rock which is what Dave brings and it sounds excellent and forces Anthony to sing more demanding in his notes and more rocker.
      Live dave sounds perfect

    I was listening to one hot minute yesterday thinking of how amazing and different it is to all the other albums. I paused thinking of a comparison and came up with this. The one hot minute album is like Mario bros. 2 compared to all the other games or albums in its difference! Wow that’s crazy!

    2:00 John left 92 then arik Marshall played for a couple of years and then Dave joined the Peppers 93-94 then quit 97 then John rejoined

      You can't compare slash to Frusciante, slash isn't even that technically skilled, Frusciante on the other hand is probably just as skilled as slash (he just doesn't show it off as much) and he plays with so much more feel and uniqueness. The only person that can be compared to Frusciante is Hendrix. Also have you heard Frusciante's solo music?

    John was the best Chili Peppers Guitarist. Navarro helped create one of the best Red Hot Chili Peppers albums.

    These guitar players trade guitars as if they were books. I would never lend my guitars, not even to my best friend who's also a guitar player. They're unique and irreplaceable .

      Slash did happen to buy Joe Perry’s old prized ‘59 Les Paul during the early GNR days. Joe found out and begged him to sell it to him. Slash stopped taking Joe’s obsessive calls but gave the guitar to Joe for his 50th B-Day party. Another great guitar story!

      Dude, Navarro grew up on speed metal. The guy can shred circles around Frusciante, who is more of a blues guitar player. It's fine. Both styles are great. But to say Dave couldn't cut it is just false. Dave recorded the song "Oh My God" with GNR. So it's not like he wasn't good enough. He still recorded with them even though he didn't join.

      @@cotopaximusic Me? it is a fact that Frusciante didnt play guitar for 6 years, except for a performance in the Viper Room that lasted 5 mins in 1997. John's first guitar after those that had been burned in his old house was a fender strat that AK gave him . John himself talks about it in several interviews, this is also in AK's biography.
