💌 “The Nightingale” by Julee Cruise (Twin Peaks)

I’ll always remember the first time I heard the Twin Peaks soundtrack. That combined with the aesthetics, the emotion, the unfathomable atmosphere of the series, I thought my heart was going to explode. “The Nightingale” had touched my soul so instantly that for months I would urge everyone around me to listen to it saying “This is art. And this is the kind of music I wish to aspire to, from now on and forever.”
I had never sung this song until tonight though.
Thank you David Lynch for gifting the world with the purity of your vision, and for touching my soul so precisely that I could recognise it. Thank you Angelo and Julee, angels of songs. You’re angels together now. 🤍
