Cette chanson "Troupeau sans berger" a été écrite par mon père José Pereira, plus de 50 ans après la composition originale par Luis Cilia, pour la bande son du film O Salto traitant de l'immigration portugaise dans les années 60. J'ai eu l'émotion de l'interpréter avec mon père au studio Lunestine à Roubaix, pour qu'elle puisse sortir le jour symbolique de la révolution des Oeillets. C'est un hommage et un travail de mémoire qui nous tient à coeur: en racontant son histoire nous parlons de tant d'autres.
This song "Herd without a shepherd" was written by my father José Pereira, more than 50 years after the original composition by Luis Cilia for the soundtrack of the film O Salto relating the Portuguese immigration in the 60s. I had the pleasure of performing it with my father at the Lunestine studio in Roubaix so that it could be released on the symbolic day of the Portuguese Revolution. It's a tribute and an act of remembrance that is close to our hearts: by telling our story, we mean to speak of many others.
