Great work on your diet. Glad you're feeling so much better. I use tomato paste (100% tomatoes no skins/seeds aka lectins)rather than tomato sauce. Stores well on board Keep up the good work.
Congratulations on your new health! I’m 70 and have been carnivore for five years. It’s stopped my arthritis too. So many benefits, including weight loss.
Right there with you dude! I am 73 at the end of May & on Keto/Carne Diet since September. I follow kenberrymd on TH-cam and I will never go back to the standard American Diet. I have lost 50 pounds (20% of my body weight) and stopped all meds. I feel great and my family doctor told me that same bs about a heart attack. I told him I would call him if I ever need him. My stepdad passed away about 12 years ago and he was pulling on his boots to go to the flea market & had a heart attack. I like that better than letting these doctors just push those drugs on me. Hang in there dude!
Hey Norm, long time watcher first time comment. Firstly thank you for all your great vids and the entertainment they have given us. Keeping it real and no bullshit. So that said I am a 66 male with builders pain everywhere. I have been looking at the carne diet for some time but after your last vid bugger it I am with you. From this day forward I am going to have a real go at it. I know it's not a diet channel but thanks for the honest opinion and thoughts. Norm, thanks again mate. Like a lot of people we feel we know you. Cheers, Alan
11 Months Carnivore. Amazing. I found that my GP had NO idea regarding nutrition. He said a lot of things that I could not take seriously as it was contradicting and all over the place.
My Doctor put me on statins for high LDL after a while I was in a fog and couldn't think straight. Stopped taking them and after researching the carnivore diet very extensively for six months I am very glad I did. Had high blood pressure but not anymore and after doing Carnivore for three months all my arthritis has gone away after having it for more than 15 years. Love watching your videos and can't wait till we are sailing around. Steak and shrimp (prawns) look great, my favorite. Used to grow red claws and loved them till my dog busted open the door to the building they were in on our coldest day of the year and they all died. Keep sailing.
Factoid: the more things you have in your freezer the less tie it spends keeping it frozen - so bags of water if you want or ice cube trays etc. helps to fill up the empty space.
I’ve gone from 96 down to 73 kilos. Medical stuff is always personal choice. I currently feel really good though my kids worry about seeing my weight loss. As I’m retiring this August we have the car and van but are actively seeking a mooring to purchase before a boat. Anyway that’s where we’re at.
Good on you Norm, yeah I did do the carnivore diet myself, after having knee and wrist problems being a tradie for 25years . It's not that easy but definitely easier than vegetarian diet...it did help with me I'm only 46years old....don't forget to eat your liver or heart in the diet, it helps with vitamins and minerals....I have stopped it now and just eat a balanced diet, and take 6mg Boron complex and fish oil everday one week off the Boron every month. This has helped me the most, also increases testosterone....give it a try.
th-cam.com/video/FCpi2AIEiLs/w-d-xo.htmlsi=LM0qEkNMmaB1SVTJ Little link there Norm....I will never stop taking Boron now, it has helped me immensely. I believe it could be a problem nowadays with our diets, the veg just doesn't contain it any more....it also compliments a carnivorous diet.
Yeah Norm ,give it a go in 5days you will notice a difference downstairs 😂...for pain relief maybe second cycle......it did make me feel nausea in first week, but went away...I do miss the Carnivore diet, I managed 8 months, now I just eat small amount of veg n fruit, but cut my heavy carbs in half....Thanks for the videos Norm , appreciate your hard work on the editing and filming...
Hi there! I'm a new subscriber. One doctor I follow on TH-cam is Dr. Eric Westman who is very knowledgeable on Keto. An interesting comment he made in one of his videos is that insulin also helps retain sodium. When you seriously lower your insulin levels, you start peeing out the sodium. He says that Keto dieters (and I assume it's the same for carnivores) need more salt... between 5 and 7 grams per day. Tell that to your doctor and watch him freak out 😅. Also, (according to several sources) organ meats once a week or so, especially liver, will fill up all your micronutrient and mineral requirements better than any multivitamin pill. I have also read 2 meta studies that show that higher cholesterol in seniors has a better outcome as far as all causes death (longer lifespan) and may have a protective effect against viruses and bacteria. I printed out one of the studies and gave it to my doctor when she wanted to put me on statins. Good luck.
Yeah Dude. Have watched Dr Westman quite a bit. Have trouble with the organ meats, but all else is good. It has changed my life doing the carnivore/keto diet. Thanks for the comment.
Ancestrally appropriate foods , that the cavemen used to eat is the go . We are animals. and shouldn't be eating processed foods . Eggs Omolletts , advocados ,broccoli ,Brussel sprouts . cheese sour cream ,
Yep. Cheese, eggs, cream. Doing Avocado, asparagus and Capsicum, onion. Gonna try celery next week. Nothing out of a packet dude. Hope it works for you as well as it works for me.
Good on you there dude. Do your own research like you've done and YOU then decide. I got my weight down by intermittant fasting, which I don't really do now (I'm 61 next month), but find myself eating now when I'm hungry rather than by the clock. In less than ten years from now, 99% of GP diagnosis will be done by A.I. Whether that is a good thing or bad thing depends whether the dark forces of Bill Gates et al (the WHO etc) are in charge or whether we've finally kicked these blood-suckers out of the game forever. Thanks for all the videos. They give me inspiration as I complete my 40ft solar powered catamaran.
If you want to lose weight. Breakfast. Eggs, salad Lunch Meat or chicken, salad Dinner Fish , salad This is how its done. Never the same for dinner as you had for lunch
Gee’s, you should listen to yourself! “My Doctor said …. But I researched it on google” and “if I die of a heart attack in three months time I’d sooner go feeling like I do now” 🙄 you weren’t a cripple mate! You need to spend some time with people that live daily with significant pain. Then you would have something to whinge about.
@@MotorSailingforOldDudes You should find your good cholesterol's up and bad down.. the only LDL test that I would pay any attention to is the LDLP.. this indicates Particle size which if too large may indicate problems. The Keto diet worked wonders for me ..94kg down to 67kg (too skinny and lost a little too much muscle mass) when I was on it, solved a lot of my health problems. It is time I got back to it, my job is too sedentary and I think it's time to retire and go sailing. Have a good one buddy!
