Lyft was my out because I'm handicapped, but I wasn't able to sign up until I finally got approved to lease the car I have now. Institutionalized poverty is a thing. Nobody rational is suggesting Walmart pay six figures, but they do need to pay a living wage and stop encouraging employees to get welfare. Like some of the other people here i also worked for Wal-Mart for a time just before and during covid. When i was hired the first thing my manager told me was you'll either love this job or hate it. I was then stuck dealing with some of the worst managers i have ever dealt with in my almost 58 years on this planet. On top of that, you had your percentage of workers who weren't worth a crap, the ones who talked about their love lives graphically in the aisles next to you, some of the bosses helping out only the female employees, etc. The only place i worked that was worse than Walmart was when i worked at a factory. Multiply my Walmart working experience by 3.
When I worked at target I helped unload trucks. I was tasked with pulling pallets out onto the floor. I was in 49 at that time. It was me another older guy pulling these heavy pallets out. When I asked why wasn't some these much younger crew members not doing this, Yeah I am that bold. I worked in the textile mills and until the company outsourced my job. I was da**ed good at it. Anyways I was told none were as fast as we 2 were. It was the same in the second target that I worked in. And these younger workers were mostly college students who felt rather free talking about their love lives and bitch how hard they had it in the store. With in earshot of customers.. Or rather "guest" as target calls the sheep to be shorn.
I noticed in certain stores including grocery stores that before a product goes on sale, they'll raise the original price making that product look more like a deal. bastards!
Jay Snow cause thats what the consumer wants it to be sale so they can feel good about getting a deal. Jcpenny's tried to change that, they came out and said our sale price is going to be our regular price and it back fired on them.

In the small rural town I live in. Outside of the hospital, nursing homes, a couple of barber shops, and local jail. Small mom and pop shops are almost nonexistent. What do all those things have in common? Are things that walmart does not do or offer in their store. When I lived in Pa. walmart wanted to build a store in the town next to where I lived. Which the town council was fine with. The land walmart bought did not have a road to where the proposed store to be built. Incredibly walmart wanted the town to build said road. The town council was willing to along with it. until just about everyone in the area objected it. The road that walmart want built was on their property. After getting a lot of pushback and the whole thing blowing up in the town council forced. The town council was forced to tell walmart to build its own road. Walmart declined and decided not to build the store. Much to the relief of both the people and the mom and pop shops that would have been ran out of business in short order.

Roger for president!!!!
At least he's honest!
He already is, his name is Donald J. Trump.
@ Blowin Smoke: At least your username is honest...because you must be smoking something really strong to think that.

You're right, Roger is a business man. Owner of over 500 companies, always puts profits above workers and will screw over anybody if it makes him look better.
South Park did an episode on this. "The store's lowering it's prices.. Soon, all shall be Wallmart."
*"Well you can wait in line for an hour at a regular checkout or use one of those self checkouts, where we watch you like a criminal. Don't let the door hit you on your way out. Best regards"* -Walmart CEO

I worked at Walmart in 2016 and they were definitely fond of anti-union propaganda. Then less than 3 months later, they fired me for some trumped up reason so I didn't get benefits.

I spent $300 in a Walmart trip a few years ago. I was like DAMN! In fairness $65 of it was for a cell phone, payment.
The part about not hiring full time so as to avoid paying insurance hit so hard, I'm certain my ancestors felt it. Thankfully, the American Care Act had my back and I got insurance for just $50 a month, and ended up really needing it that year.
does this mean there's an "if presidential ads were honest" coming next?
oh please yes!

@@bulldozer8997 no I'm glad they only paid me 7 an hour cause if they woulda paid better I might not have moved on to a job where I'm making 1500 a week. So actually Walmart was a blessing in disguise
Bull Dozer you are the kind of person who thinks poor people are at fault for being poor and just “don’t work hard enough” right?
@@bulldozer8997 My problem with your statement is that you're implying Walmart is doing nothing wrong by offering poverty wages because people can just "get a different job," but the reality is that many people can't just "get a different job" and are forced to take whatever job they can to pay their bills.
They're essentially forcing the rest of us to subsidize their employees through tax dollars because they don't pay people enough to survive. That's my problem with Walmart and corporations like it.
@@bulldozer8997 A living wage is enough to survive in the geopolitical area. Obviously some areas are cheaper or more expensive than others. A poverty wage is anything below a living wage. Tens of millions of Americans are working 2+ jobs with poverty wages just to be able to survive
@@bulldozer8997 It depends entirely on the area, but $7.25 is impossible to live on in every place I've lived in California. I was making $10-$12 in socal before this January and struggled hardcore. Coffee, a dog bed and some legos. The honesty is so unseemly 💆🏾♀️
So from what I know of the Horton Cinematic Universe so far, the only thing that makes Roger actually angry is the possibility that his workers might end a sentence with the word "union".
Very accurate picture of what has already happened. Amazon will kill the cube just like Netflix killed Blockbuster.
More like Amazon will take over The Cube's empty husk and spread bigger from there.
Coffee, dog bed, and Lego's? I think I have to kink-shame Roger again...
#rogerisafurry
Roger brought back a horrible memory- this guy bought Trojans and a dog collar & I was disturbed
nah man, he just wants to be comfy while playing with legos on the floor
Don't worry guys, I did notice all the Horton branded items on the shelf and I appreciate the little details like that. Props to the prop team
you guys gotta do one on reward programs. they are the worst!!!
If these Roger bits were commercials, I would watch them.
As a former Walmart employee, you guys definitely have my applause for this one.

I noticed in certain stores including grocery stores that before a product goes on sale, they'll raise the original price making that product look more like a deal. bastards!
Jay Snow I thought that wad illegal
Jay Snow cause thats what the consumer wants it to be sale so they can feel good about getting a deal.
Jcpenny's tried to change that, they came out and said our sale price is going to be our regular price and it back fired on them.
Home Depot Orange. Target Red. Walmart & Hints of Costco in one. :)

"ya wanna get an eye exam and buy a trampoline?" 😂😂😂💀
