    WQKX-FM - 94.1 FM - Sunbury, PA always has a good TOH ID. And btw, just stumbled on this channel and I love it. Keep up the great work.

      @@RadioDJDude I must clarify the WQKX ID ... Looks like they changed it. Sigh. The one they had before they changed it was PERFECT. "94.1 WQKX FM and HD ... Sunbury The Best Songs on the Radio ... in digital HD. WQKX!"

    Of all my subs that notification of new content gets smashed hardest with your stuff and I'm not even joking.
    Admittedly I don't catch everything you do on XXX80s but have you looked at a throwback to the movie War Games with the robotic voice saying "Shall we play a tune?"
    Your welcome.😃👍
    I love station IDs. They put a flare of officiallity in your programming, helping you sound bigger than life. Side note, Radio DJ works very nicely in a Windows virtual box under Linux.
    Keep rockin those tunes, tips and tricks.

    WANT to pretend to be the same radio station but a counterfeit to prank the listener in a small building. So I can swap some bad content bring back my comfort. Got my transmitter fm working OK. Now to create better listening.

    Hi, Jeff, what is your favorite audio editing software? Do you do any remote voice tracking for terrestrial stations?

    • @RadioDJDude
      @RadioDJDude  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey, Gramps! I use Adobe Audition. I don't track for any FMs. Actually, when they implemented tracking at my last "real" radio gig, I quit. None of us went into this crazy biz to record the equivalent of on-hold messages. Financially, I get it. It really doesn't make sense to pay someone to sit in a small room and push buttons for four hours. BUT, tracking has sucked a lot of the life and soul from FM radio. Ha! You ask a simple question and get a rant! You're welcome. :)

      @@RadioDJDude I hear ya, Radio dude! Unfortunately, most of it IS voice tracked, today. Remote voice tracking though, would be a great way to earn some extra folding money! Talking about "rants", that's about all I do! For instance, I just left Burger King; $20.16 for two whoppers, a large fry, and an eight piece chicken nugget! Back in the day, I bought Arctic Circle hamburgers for 0.19 cents and a large fries was 0.25 Cents!

      @@grampsradio I've seen some stations offering pennies for voice tracking. No thanks! Now, if I didn't care about the quality of my show, I might consider it. I remember some jocks used to brag about tracking a five hour show in 30 min. No need to brag about quickly turning out crap work. :)

    My brother, another fantastic video. Learning so much about the radio world to improve my station, thank you. Question...so if your introducing a new segment (60s from 8-noon, then 70s from noon to 4, 80's from 4 to 8) do you recommend the same 15 seconds for first hour of the new TOH segment. Or can it longer to let the listener know you have switched to a new decade??? Rock On Brother, Rock On!

    • @RadioDJDude
      @RadioDJDude  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks much! One option is to produce a killer "generic" TOH & tag on a short bit about which decade you're playing. This maintains consistency with your branding. For example, and I'm making this up, your main TOH: "Nonstop rock, on America's rock station...The EL!" + [Decade Tag] "You're in the 70s zone." Within reason, there aren't any hard rules re running time. As long as it's upbeat & engaging, rock on!
