The rocks don’t provide drainage.they actually make the roots rot faster because the soil acts as a sponge and it only drips into the rocks when the soil can’t take anymore water and by adding the rocks you move the saturated soil up closer to the plant’s roots

I have a question, when you water the plants, won't the sparkly sand get mixed up with wet soil in the terrarium???

Ya I think it will from personal experience, also if the plants die its a mission to redo the thing with the bits of glass, almost impossible to separate out so I think people should skip that step
