thank you and almost 3 years later it is still looking as good as when I put it in. It’s hard work in a transit due to all of the curves in the ceiling in front, but well worth the effort for the visual outcome.
Yeah. I had been researching ways into way doing it and boat building and steaming deck planks had come up a lot. But that would need a lot of more kit to do it. I found just taking it slow works in this case. room is still fine as well a few weeks on now
Hi Following you closely as I am about to start a conversion hopefully in Nov , do you have the Amazon Part no for the pumps etc you have purchased , as going to try to fit a recirculating shower based on your design, also your vid on the hot water from the diesel heater link was great... keep going this novice is following you.... I found the Accumulator tank, but cannot find the series 33 11.3 Ltr min pumps..
Hey, sure I have added a link for you. I’m actually installing the pumps at the moment so a video about that soon. Hope you find it helpful Seaflo 33 Series DC Diaphragm Pump 12V/24V 3.0GPM 45PSI (12 Volts) www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01N1GKIDT/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_QzUKFbH0FNMWC?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Hi. Love this series of vids. I'm converting an L4H3 2016. The time and energy you've put in to documenting your process has been invaluable to me. Just wondering where you got those telescopic rods from that you are using to hold up the cladding? Keep up the good work! Thanks.
@@MispronouncedAdventures nice one!!! I realised after asking that I could probably use walking poles or awning poles....both of which I have! Lols. :-)
Could you tell me where you scourced the wood from please.... I have already bought a load from wicks and have been told that it's probably better to use something else as this cheap Wicks stuff could be a nightmare to work with....
Sure No problem. So far plywood wise I’ve use 12mm soft wood ply from B&Q for the upper cabinets . The soft ply has a way thinker veneer than B&Q hardwood ply stuff, however I did have to go and search for quite a few sheets to find one with a decent veneer on both sides without holes or patches and a flat sheet. The 18mm used in this video is the “far eastern” plywood from Travis Perkins. And they just gave me the three sheets of the top and they were all great.
@@MispronouncedAdventures I should of been more specific sorry... I meant the pine tongue and groove stuff.... I have a feeling the wicks stuff is far too brittle and also too many knots in it....
Oh no problem. It’s the B&Q 8m T&G ( which arguably doesn’t get a great write-up ) but I had absolutely no issues with it. And not a single broken panel out of all the packs I bought. However I did varnish the back with two coats and Osmo Oil the front with two coats before applying. I’m very slowly bent them into their curved position
@@MispronouncedAdventures That's good to know as it's probably the same sort of stuff as Wicks... Thanks for the replies... I'm so glad i found you as i have exactly the same van and the curvy bit of roof was my biggest worry.... I looked for hours to find someone tackling that curve and so your tips are very useful... Cheers mate...
That’s some big skylights. Lots of ventilation and light which is good. Even if there is a slight curve I’m sure you’ll be able to figure it out Best of luck with you’re fitting
It’s wasn’t the quickest of processes to do. Happy with the overall turn out of. It’s still going strong. The shower room and cupboard hide many of screws lines
Thats some clever editing in the intro, ha.! Now on with the cladding..
Excellent craftsmanship! I’m so glad I found your channel. I’m enjoying this build series so much.
Enjoy the rest of the build series!
That looks amazing. Well done!!

Ship builders used to steam the wood to make it bend. I am happy to learn I can get around that process.

In joinery terms, your just "Heading the Screws" and it is good practice.
Ah thank you. I didn’t know what it was called. Glad to see it’s good practice
yay
good 👍👍

Glad you had it useful. Those telescope rods are actually just cheap pull up bars for door frames. I just re-purpose them :)

I would definitely go back to travis Perkins again

Hey 👋 did the vent covers manage to curve a bit with the ceiling?
As in the maxxfan vent cover? Yes the centre of the ceiling where the vents is it the least obvious the curve is. So no issues there
@@MispronouncedAdventures that’s great thanks. Doing something similar. But my skylights are 600 wide fingers crossed will be fine 😀
