YES it looks soooo luxurious, I love it but I wish they kept the amber lights. I have a Gt line black on black 2022 and I love it, the amber lights when the sun goes down makes it look so sexy to me 😂 but idkkkk I’m tempted to trade mine in for a 2025 when available
The facelift is growing on me, but I don’t think it-or any of Kia’s recent refreshes/facelifts-look better than the previous designs. The interior updates is where Kia truly shines!
I agree. I have the 2014 optima sxl turbo and the front grill area is much more appealing what I do like about the new kia is the headlights. It's my favorite feature.
@josephalba978 I saw that option. When I went to see the car it was gone. The one I have now has alp black leather interior. My next kia will be a stinger twin turbo. I think the car is beautiful. I've watched lots of videos praising the stinger.
Definitely makes me glad I bought my K5 GT-Line in ‘23, as I find the exterior design of the ‘23 MUCH more appealing. The “heartbeat” running lights and other nicely curved contours in front & back have been replaced by faceted angles that don’t flow nicely; they look awkward. However, the interior updates look really nice. From the new seat designs & colors to the dash redesign, this new interior facelift is a plus.
I have the 2014 Kia Optima turbo, which my daughter is still driving and still love. We bought the Kia 2021 K5 and love it also. We looked at the 2024 K5 and didn't see much of a difference. Now checking out the 2025 K5 I love the look and will wait to trade in my 2021 K5 for the 2025 K5
Looks good, I like more the front end than the rear. Current gen has better looking taillights imo. I hope they bring it to the US market with the panoramic sunroof, fog lights, the rear black spoiler (which I didn't see here) and the front ambers DRLs...
I'm a Honda/Toyota fan but I'd take this over a 24' Accord or Camry any day. Kia went north with their designs and powertrain options, but Honda/Toyota went south in my opinion.
Been wanting a K5 for the longest time now and obviously veen planning to nab the current gen. BUT this is a welcome surprise! To compare them: Love both new and old style front ends. Both are unique, eye catching and aggressive. New gen has wayyy better wheel designs for the most part. I think old gen still has a better looking tail end, but I do appreciate the new gen having all LED back lights from the looks. And the new gen definitely has the nicer, sleeker, more luxurious and tech savvy interior. My conclusion... looks like I'm scoping for the New Drop 🥶🧊
I’ve always been a fan of the Optima/K5, owned 3 and two Stingers. It’s nice that they are updating the looks but, these days I prefer the EV6 styling. Love the orange interior color and dash layout. Is there a plug in hybrid version of the K5?
I agree, the EV9 inspired design language doesn’t work on all vehicles. I can see more EV6 inspired designs with the updated K5, but would’ve liked to have seen more. In Korea, there is a PHEV and Hybrid version of the K5.
@@SirT80 They had a PHEV version of the K5 in the States but, only very few states sold them, couldn’t get my hand on one, ended up trading the Stinger for an Audi etron, EV6 wasn’t available then. I hope they will improve the range of the EV6. The EV9 design looks nice but, not for the sedan side, they can use for CUVs.
@@waynerm002oh wow, that’s interesting! Thank you for clarifying! I would’ve definitely traded in my Optima for a K5 Hybrid if one was available in my state. I have a 2019 Optima and really wanted the hybrid, but settled for an LX gas engine. I test drove an EV6 GT Line last week and really enjoyed it! Felt very well built, refined and didn’t feel nearly as big as it looks.
@@SirT80 KIA is doing some nice vehicles these days. The EV6 is plenty powerful, the EV6 GT would be fun, if it could have the same or better range (since it’s like a whole year late) as the AWD version, if you don’t drive it hard.
I love the new front and rear design of the K5 I love everything about the car , job well done KIA job well done 👍🏽 ❤. Very sporty edgier, elegant and luxurious and I love the lines and sharp edges of the car. I love the front and back redesign and they both match each other 👍🏽spot on job well done Kia. Interior and exterior looks gorgeous and elegant luxurious and roomy ❤it . I love the K5 .
This refresh interior is better than in BMW 5 series but exterior is not so styllish and not complite. Only new wheels are good. Maybe only black vertion will sell good.
I really do like the interior. And was never a fan of the diamond stich either. The new design is on point. The exterior? Well, I do like the black. Great video.
Good morning, Mari! Unfortunately, here in South Africa, we don't get too many sedans due to low sales. But this and the new SONATA, look really good and are not expensive compared with their American and German competitors...
In America there aren’t really any German or American competitors to this, because all of them have been discontinued; although the Malibu was brought back after being discontinued. We’re also losing sedans due to popularity of suvs.
I just got a 23 like 5 months ago… I can’t believe this Lmaoo But tbh I don’t like that the back isn’t one light strip. Everything else is nice. Well… idk about the gear shifter knob…
Absolutely love the new look. Was gonna get a 23 K5 GT Line, settler for the Forte GT Line as I thought a car like the K5 may be too much for me (only 24 and makes a lot of bad driving decisions at times) can’t wait until I pay my car off and possibly look into the future K5 models
She is correct it does look messy with the front end and rear. Im not a fan of the tail lights. But the wheels are nice, and the interior is gorgeous. I say the new sonata has a better overall appearance.
In Canada - we are crying here as a dealer said the K5 is not going be be offered for 2024 - apparently mostly due to supply problems (I have only seen maybe 2 here since it was redone - when it dropped the Optima name).
Looks too similar to my 2021 Elantra limited. Makes sense, Kia and Hyundai are sister companies. I have my Elantra in the same blue color and the white leather interior.
This could fit right in theAudi lineup based off how similar it looks to them in all black. I really wish they kept the amber DRL because it was so striking
I like all the changes. Especially the more angular DRLs on the front as opposed to the more squiggle shape of the current design. Other than that, I’m not really seeing any significant character lines. So I guess they don’t bother me. However, I do love and own the Hyundai Tucson…haha.
Kia - Completely new design - They call it facelift Maruti Suzuki & Honda India- They change front bumper design, Tail light design and call it New Generation.

If anyone saw the black edition and weren't familiar with most luxury brands, they could easily confuse this car for something more high end
Thats what happens already with the grey haha people think its some crazy car every time
Confuse it for a Cadillac or Infiniti
The car looks spectacular! Wow
At a very quick first one second glance it looked like a Audi.

the facelift is nice but I do prefer the look of the current model with the amber led headlights

Kia should have made that chrome ribbon strip across the back black it would've been the finishing touch to an all black edition.

Everyone has the WOLF GRAY!! Enough already! I bought mine in Passion Red. She stands out in a sea of Gray....
I was going to wait for the face-lift but the current design looks much better that I just got a 24 K5
Any news on when this is coming to the US?
2025. The 2024 remains the same. Last chance to get the GOOD LOOKING ONE .

Black one is 🔥
did they fix the engines from blowing up and eating oil ?

do they make a Hybrid version that is what I am looking for
