I just love the direction the Lions have been trending. They have nailed the last 4 drafts and after the 1st round it looks like they’re doing it again, to be able to draft (who I believe is the best CB in the draft) T. Arnold, when they started at pick 29 is unreal. Corner was/is our biggest need and they got the best possible player to fill that void for this team. He will have familiarity with Branch being able to help him along the process, he’s gonna be a stud for the D. A++ for sure!
I’m so done with this team why did we take Penix. Every single defensive player was still on the board 😭😭. Next years QB class is decent enough to get a player worst case scenario

We've all spent the last 2 months trying to convince ourselves that one of the possible RT picks was "ideal", but it never really sat right.
Decent chance Fuaga ends up at Guard, Fautanu is a bit undersized, and Mims and Guyton would have been reaches... and none of them are in the same talent tier as Bowers.
I know you were really high on Arnold and Mitchell, but they also came with doubts, and the NFL was clearly lower on the CBs.
So, with all the QBs gone, we were left with one elite "can't miss" player, one of only 3 or 4 in the whole class... and after the initial shock, I liked it almost immediately... A- from me.
Getting JJ made me so excited. But somehow landing Turner?!?! I didnt even have him on my radar because i was sold he wasnt making it past 9. Ill be upset next year with no draft capital but fuck it I get to be excited this year.

I agree: Penix to the Falcons-F. Fire those idiots!! Either that, or trade cousins as soon as another team loses their QB for the season from injury. Probably has a no-trade clause, though. The only way it makes sense, is if the falcons are sure that Cousins will be injured and cant play after 6-10 games.
The NFC North and the AFC North might be the most solid divisions in football rn. Especially if the bears and Vikings rookie QBs are as good as everyone is saying those 2 divisions will have 8 playoff contenders

I'd give Latu an A. They really needed a true rusher, and they got the best one. I would've loved Q. Mitchell, but I feel edge was more of a need.
I disagree with what you think about D-Rob for the Cardinals, I think he is a great versitile piece that could either play edge or defensive interior.

Hats off to Goat House - from the start of the draft process, he said that the NFL had Alt and Latham as the clear top 2 Tackles... we need to find out where he gets his info!

He had Alt and Latham as top 10 selections, then a tier gap to the rest... and no one else was saying that about Latham until the last few days.

Hollywood is only on a one year deal, so there’s that; BUT.. I’d rather have taken Coleman or Mitchell with the pick.
Love how for every other team when they make a pick for the future its a smart move but for the chiefs its redundant? Lol. Hollywood brown is on a 1 yr deal. With your logic the bengals getting amarius mims as trent brown replacememt when they have trent brown at home.

I will say I was leaning Arnold over Mitchell but no way in hell did I think ALL CBs were gonna make it to us at 22! Either way, getting a CB1 and keeping that extra 2nd round pick is a A++

Worthy is insurance to Hollywood. Pretty sure Hollywood isnt on that big of a deal for the chiefs and he has injury concerns. If this kid is better than mecole hardman he will be fine and he is young. I didnt like that they traded up for him but i guarantee they knew 49ers were going wr and ravens and bills are in the market for wr as well. All of those teams are close competition with the chiefs and seeing their guy go to one of those teams would suck. At the end of the day chiefs are so dominant rn that no matter who they got in the first round they were gonna get better because they have all of the essential positions filled already aside from wr. They will find there cheeta replacement eventually. Might be by commitee for a while but eventually a wr1 will emerge.

Idk what else y’all need to see to admit Penix’s talent is just insanely better than you give credit for. Putting up mahomes stats in college, literally won the award for best player in the country last year, took a underfunded school to the natty, 4.5 speed, best passing talent arguably ever. Now the actual NFL GMs show where he’s valued despite the injuries and a legit qb on roster. Falcons won the draft.

No one stated Penix can't play. He is made of glass and set to sit behind a QB who just got a 4 year deal for 180 million. Why draft an older QB to sit for year when you are trying to win now? 😂😂
