I always wanted a ultra small headlamp for general flashlight purposes/EDC! This looks nice.
    Definitely checking it out.

That does look good if it holds up to reasonably hard use.

I suggest getting the type c keychain adapter for the perun mini 2. It’s by the best flashlight I’ve ever owned but the only problem is that I kept on losing the cable. They sell the type c adapter for less than $20 and it’s an Amazon fidget toy lol

Hello, does it work with regular batteries too or just with alkaline batteries?

If you mean carbon AA batteries, I assume it would but with substantial hits to brightness and runtime.

Is that plastic? Seems iffy if one can get a reasonable aluminum 18650 powered headlamp with USB C charging for around the same price. I guess it makes sense if one is specifically looking for light weight.

I got a mini baton but once it went dead on me and I had to stop work to charge , thought this is a really bad light. So I picked up milwaukee 450 lumen aaa headlight . Milwaukee true light blows olight out the water with work light. If olight made the baton with chargeable batteries they have something there. Milwaukee takes the cake hands down better light output and price

    What's the red light for?

Not ruining your vision in the dark, not creating light pollution in military situations at night

i think you're mistaken about that red setting. the only red lamps that preserve night vision are 0.5-2 lumens, if even that. it has to be very very dim to preserve night vision. try it! cover one eye for 20 minutes and experiment. you'll see a huge difference before and after the lamp's red setting. not what you'd want

i haven't tried this with this exact lamp so there's a chance i'm incorrect (duh)
