  • Bangladesh Prepares For New Era | Muhammad Yunus Forms Caretaker Govt | India Today
Bangladeshi Nobel Laureate Muhammad Yunus, a well-known critic and political opponent of Sheikh Hasina, has been appointed as the new head of the caretaker government in Bangladesh following Hasina’s ouster.
The appointment comes in response to demands from protesting student leaders and military as well as civil society members to appoint Yunus as the interim head to guide Bangladesh towards stability until elections can be held.

Bangladesh has a history of uprisings and coups. But this time it is different. This movement is inspired by students and not by any political parties or military. The only issue is lack of power center. This may become one of the biggest weakness in this movement. However, if Mr. Yunus is able to bring all parties on one table and listen to them, there are hopes for Bangladesh. The only risk is the extremist elements such as Jamat, that might sabotage this movement. Political vendetta must be avoided. Otherwise, there will be more civil unrest. Good Luck to Bangladesh and Wish the people of Bangladesh, prosperity and peace. ..

India's government, journalists, and many TH-camrs seem to have missed a crucial lesson: Hindutva, not neighboring countries, poses the greatest challenge to India's future. Over the last decade, the Indian electorate has empowered a Hindutva-driven government, while at the same time backing Sheikh Hasina’s regime in Bangladesh-a regime that has systematically undermined democracy and oppressed Muslims.
India’s involvement in Bangladesh’s internal politics has gone beyond mere support for Hasina. It has actively contributed to the erosion of democratic principles in Bangladesh. This interference has been so deep and pervasive that it ultimately necessitated Bangladesh's second struggle for independence.

Second Independence: From India (5 Aug 2024)

I doubt whether the gentleman will be able to play his role effectively in such tumultuous environment. B'desh's systems have been systematically destroyed over the years it seems. Its hard earned liberation from one tyrannical rule has landed the country into one bad government after the other. Mr Yunus has a job in hand!

Majority of people born during the British rule of India (British Raj) are dead .. most people born during the independence war 1971 are old!! I WISH ALL THE BEST to the young students of 2024 … they will rule the country in 2050!! Bangladesh has no national resources like Australia🇦🇺 its people man-power (remittence) is its resources!! Wish them all the best!! OUR JOB AS AUSTRALIAN of bengal descent is to STOP 🛑 another 50million Indians migrating to Australia🇦🇺 and making us another mini India!! AUSTRALIA IS FULL!!!!!!
