    This is awesome, I'm getting into the bug weight battle bot scene and I have learned so much already! Thanks for your super easy to understand tutorial so far! Can't wait to build with bot along with you!

    Your video was super helpful. None of the other intro Fusion videos I have watched even touched on changing parameters.

    Hey Robert! Thank you so much for making this series, it has been a really big help. I did have a question though...
    At 23:18 that little popup didn't show up for me when I selected the bottom of the box as the plane for the new sketch. Do you know why that would be the case? Is it something I need to worry about?

    • @TeamSmallRobots
      @TeamSmallRobots  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You're very welcome! That popup appeared because I moved the ESC around. It was asking if I wanted to capture (in other words "save") the new position of the ESC and add a Move command to the timeline. I didn't want to save it so I chose "Continue".
      You didn't move the ESC around for no reason like I did, so it didn't appear. So, no need to worry, you should be fine not seeing it.
      And my name is David by the way :p

      @@TeamSmallRobots Great! Thank you for responding.
      Also sorry about calling you Robert, I was on autopilot and typed Robert instead of David, I even knew your name from ARC last year :p

    Thanks so much for making this video! The off set short cut was very useful. However, I was having trouble following how you made the base of the container at the very end of the video as I was CADing along with you....

      Glad you're liking it so far. I can try and slow down the explanation of those sorts of things in future videos. Did you end up getting it made or do you still need some help?

    I’ve been making my CADs in Fusion 360 using Bodies. Are there any significant disadvantages to this approach? Is there any way I can turn bodies into components?

    • @TeamSmallRobots
      @TeamSmallRobots  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Soooo many disadvantages to just using bodies. Joints require components, there's 0 organization, you can't look at specific parts in the timeline, if you want to go back and change something you have to go through the ENTIRE timeline instead of just viewing the component you want to edit, sketches aren't linked to each part. Components should be limited to 1 body and however many sketches you want, which once again goes back to organization because you have to look at alllllll of your sketches instead of just looking at the ones relevant to the component you're working on.

      Team Small Robots Yeah... needless to say trying to constantly edit and modify 50+ bodies is far from an easy task and has inadvertently cost me more time and hassle. Whenever I can get back to a computer connected to the internet I’ll start making CADs with components!

      Click the internal rectangle to deselect it.

    My fusion360 works completely different then yours. For example the to get the wall thickness like yours on mine i have to use 1/8 not -1/8. And I can’t simply go back to the sketch like you. Your video is great but fusion is very frustrating.

    You would be disgusted by my parameter free, constraint free "technique".
