The tierlists at 11:07 are mislabeled, I did a double take when I saw the Crisper at S-tier for bots lol.
Omg crap. Will pin as correction :(
well you seen it here first crisper will be the new meta for bots
crispr is low key s tier i just take a little tinkle on chainsawmans chasing me every 10 seconds or so and it takes less than half a mag to kill 10-15 toasters. bring some anti armor though :)
@DrPooplove thought it was on purpose to troll people who skip to the end 😂
I would put the Senator way higher vs bugs
You dont use it to kill scavengers or hunters (as the bullets are not enough) but you can use it to deal with Hive guards, Stalkers, Brood comanders, and Bile Spewers, I think that putting there in C tier is not fair, maybe its not good fir killing small bugs butnits great for killing medium bugs, and more if you main weapon doesn't have mid armor penetration
Agree, thats its best selling point (specially, taking on consideration the BIG bile spewers, green medium armored ones... All i saw on the video are yellow NURSING spewers, not actual bile spewers nor the level 9 and 10 ones). It can deal with anything up front in, basically, one cylinder if you are somewhat accurate. Meaning, it will sake off you anything you have in front when the ammo of your main gun gets depleted. Even being able to deal with multiple enemies (usually, if they are not Bile Armored Spewers, those take like more or less the full cylinder on the head in order to die... BUT THEY DO DIE, wich is more than can be said for a lot of primaries and most of seccondaries)
That's very true, when the game first came out it was one of the only weapons with medium pen so it was actually pretty good for bugs
Hip firing 4 shots into alpha commanders heads is always fun
Hive guards and spewers takes like the whole mag. Might as well run behind em.
@@redfish6549 hive guards take 3 shots to the dome and will bleed out. You can tell you've done enough damage when you see large bits fly off them. The base brood commanders are the same. Spewers I've had worse luck with. I do agree overall that the senator is a little low rated here. If you have a loadout planned for the senator to deal with mid-sized/medium armor its pretty good. I basically main the senator. I only swap out for redeemer or grenade pistol on some occasions.
Senator in D tier is a crime. Not counting grenade pistol that thing is probably the most reliable sidearm in the game. Pop some devastator heads here, unload into an annoying Hive Guard's face there. Got so much ammo you never run out. Round Reload is also really good as you can reload in a fight and can even cancel a reload to shoot in a panic situation.
Plus the moon clip reload when empty was definitely a great change
Hes a controller player so precision weapons are typically ranked lower than someone who can snap aim with a mouse
I agree, being able to one shot warriors and 2-3 shot commanders is my favorite thing to do with the senator. One shotting the little guys quickly too when trying to prevent them from calling a breach is also very nice. Being able to quickly round reload and cancel reloading is one the most clutch things as well. Deserves at least A tier with bugs, but even then like if it weren’t for grenade pistol this would be the best gun around
Seems weird how he based these ranking on how well these secondaries can stand on their own instead of how well they can round out a build.
Senator is the perfect companion for any light armor pen primary.
@@idj3105racist
Grenade Pistol is S tier for sure, especially since it allows you to equip stun grenades.
I'd like a stun variant of it as well. I'd run it with stuns lol
@@Name-zd2nbI'd prefer an incendiary version
@@CRYPTID536 no he meant running the grenade pistol allows u to use the stun grenade. So both ability to destroy holes and stun.
@CRYPTID536 i dont believe so, i think the original comment is referring to the fact you can take stun grenades in the grenade slot, while the launcher sidearm can still fill the role of traditional grenades (bug holes, fabs, aoe, etc)
Best choice for any load out
I like the senator against the bugs because it takes out warriors and brood commanders really easily. It is also a good choice against guards when you don’t have a medium-pen primary
The secondary’s have been in a very weird place since launch
They are supposed to be a backup but more often than not weapons like the autocannon are your primary and your actual gun your secondary.
That’s why the grenade pistol has found such a popular niche because it has an actual use
at BEST most secondaries are last-last-last ditch efforts for when your primary is out, you don't have a support weapon, and you just need this bug dead
whats wrong with having a tertiary weapon ?😁
Senator is pretty nice to have if your primary only has light pen. Takes care of commanders and guards nicely.
I run medium machine gun, crossbow, Senator, and thermites. Honestly, having a senator as a secondary is a great "oh shit" weapon for me, both for bots and bugs, it can be used if your machine guns is out and you need to clear off enemies both armored and unarmored. Especially the fact that it's the only weapon in the game that rewards you with a faster reload if you empty the entire gun.
I always consider the secondary as a weapon to cover a weakness in the rest of the kit.
For example: Bringing a JAR-5 and RR to the bot front is good for medium and long range engagements, but not great to deal with anything that gets too close. Bringing a redeemer or bushwacker gives me a close range option incase I get ambushed. It also gives me a light pen option if I don't wanna waste JAR-5 ammo on light infantry.
Man the peacemaker would be so cool if it either had a silencer or like 10 mags. if It cant damage its gotta be an emergency use. There really is no point going back to the peacemaker at this point. Maybe when the game first came out, not anymore
Ya, I think more mags would make it an ol reliable to go back to
Yea, or give it variants like the liberator
@@DestronGaming1213 Id rather they just have it be switch on like how you can zoom in with other weapons. Just make the peacemaker decent. just decent enough to want to be selected
A suppressed or concussive Peacemaker would be a good option.
Tbf the Peacemaker is one of the quietest firearms in the game. Not that it matters because it's still not that stealthy. A Suppressor would go a long way to help it. And I agree that it should at least have as many mags as the Verdict; 8 mags
I actually like the Dagger on bot missions, but it does perform better with the ballistic shield. It's best use cases are clearing small bot soldiers, hitting devastators in the face, and clearing mines.
That said, you're right. It's not as reliable for other stuff. The Berserkers are the biggest close range nuisance and the Dagger can't really deal with their big HP pools so it's bad for that.
More than the dagger I prefer the scythe as a general primary. It's more accurate than the dagger, shoots for way longer before overheating, and is noticeably stronger.
I'm not sure about the flamer pistol, but I've tried all the others and they all seem to have a niche. I feel that the Peacemaker is the one that needs a buff the most, because it's damage is okay, but it's magazines feel small for how much damage you can put out with each one, and only having 5 mags feels low. I think it should have 18-20 rounds per mag, and maybe an extra reserve mag or two, and it would be much improved.
Try taking crossbow with dagger and ballistic shield. It can one shot berserkers to the head and if you miss, it staggers them.
The Senator revolver gets better against the bugs if you are using a low armor penetration primary, like the Sickle or the Liberator. You can use your primary for weaker enemies, and use the Senator to pop commanders' and guardians' heads. I think the guardian falls with about 4 shots to the head.
4 shots will kill a hive guard, yes, but they already enter a bleedout state after 3 shots, so the 4th one is usually unnecessary as they will simply keel over and die after a second or two.
Somethings you missed about the senator. It its medium armor penetration can be good on the bug front too, if your primary lacks this, then it lets you have more freedom with your primary. Making shotguns and other close range options more viable, or just adjusting for their weakness.
And it is the quietest secondary making it good for sneakily picking off enemies without resulting in an alert faze. Being great for picking off an entire base one by one until only a few big enemies are left.
The I also feel like the dagger deserve a little more credit since it is probably the most easy snd intuitive secondary to aim and use while running. Democracy forbid you have a rover too, giving you two laser trails behind you cooking your problems for you as you run.
And it's cool down can be comboed with a lazer primary to essentially always have a stream of lazer damage always coming out.
this guy is obviously bad and only plays on low difficulties. Rating the senator lower than the crisper, like lol.
I get your point on the Senator, I just tend to prefer going for the weak spots on the few medium enemies when I have light armor pen.
@@DrPooploveon higher difficulties saying there are “few” medium enemies is a huge understatement. Alpha/brood commanders are everywhere as well as bile spewers. If we really are comparing these weapons based on how well they fill a niche in your loadout, being able to kill all of those in 3 shots when using light pen guns like breaker incendiary, cookout, sickle, etc is great value.
Man you really should think some of these ratings through because I know a lot of people will see senator in D tier and disregard the rest of the guide. I may or may not be one of them lol.
Primary - HMG + Supply Pack
Secondary - Dominator or 451
Utility - Grenade Pistol
Grenade - Stun Grenade
i do this loadout but with a arc12 for bugs and the punisher plasma for bots
HMG+dominator is something Xzibit would come up with. "Yo dawg i heard you like big slow guns with medium pen rounds?". Add a senator to this build and its perfect.
Same except crossbow instead of dominator or 451
Honestly I've been using a full laser build last few days. Side arm, primary, support and rover and I love it. All the laser guns are awesome especially with the new fire damage. Even the side arm does decent damage to smaller targets. Yes the primary does more but once that heats up you switch to your secondary, once that heats up back to your primary. Works great
While reload is slower, round reload weapons mean the only ammo your gonna waste are the shots you miss. Its one of the reasons i love the punisher shotgun. And why i problebly would have loved the cookout
I always loved the punisher but man….. the cookout is my new favorite on bugs
I think the senator is really good against the bugs because of how much ammo it has. Also, I think the dagger is underrated against the bugs now because of how it can heat up enemies and along with the guard dog rover you can kill targets extremely fast. I think both of the aforementioned weapons are great against the bugs because of their fantastic ammo economy and can be a stand in for your primary or support weapons if you do not have a supply pack with you. Some of my builds with these weapons are shown below and I’ve used them on level 10 super Helldive against bugs.
Build 1: Dagger, eruptor, stun grenades, MG-43, guard dog, strafing run, and orbital strike.
Build 2: Senator, Pummler, stun grenades, jet pack, Commando, orbital 380, and orbital precision.
With the first build aim the dagger at the enemies your guard dog is aiming at to get kills a lot faster.
For the second build use the senator as much as possible and if there is too many bugs getting close use the pummler. Use the pummler to keep stalkers, alpha commanders, spewers, and groups of hunters back and use the senator to get headshots at medium to long distance or to finish off bugs.
Again great video and thank you for posting these for new Helldivers also your Order 1886 was awesome if no one has seen it watch it!
awesome builds!
Have to disagree with the senator with the bugs... Being the only handgun (besides the greanade one) able to deal with bile spewers (the big ones, the ones on level 9 and 10, having medium armor on head). And front kill the hive guards, yeah, it doesnt have much ammo... but if you are able to keep moving and not get surrounded, thats not a real problem, being able to reload fast enaugh (with the speedloader allways... of course). Its selling point is being able to deal with anything with it in one mag (beside titans and chargers... And now, impalers).
While the greanade pistol... its great, but wont let you deal with much at the same time, and gets not too much ammo from boxes, wich often leads to not having it available... Its great when you have it. But the peacekeeper keeps ammo much better, and has more ammo... Altough, granted, it will take more time to kill basically anything than the greanade pistol, but it will be able to deal with... Allmost anything on the bug side.
Furthermore, there is also another point to be made... Greanade pistol has far too few shots to be a reliable weapon to run when you run out of ammo... Not just in the mag... But, literally, out of ammo, out of mags... out of anything. The senator is the only actual handgun able to work as a main gun with few bullets... but, if you are able to keep moving so you can reload while running, it will carry you untill you can stock up some ammunition, being able to face ANY medium enemy on the bug side, while conserving ammo efficiently.
AND SHREAKERS EXIST, greanade pistol will be basically unable to deal with them, specially when you are carring a egg or similar, or when out of bullets... but senator... kills them in one blow.
Actually diff 6 is when the bile spewers start getting medium armor.
@@shalashaskaseven4841 there are 2 versions of the Green ones as far as i know, im not sure on what level appear the hardest ones... But i believe there are 2 versions of them, one, is problematic, the other, is REALLY problematic.
The Laz should get a * for being good against the flying bugs as it is instant hit-scan and can take them out of the air quickly if your primary can't. The infinite range is nice for this sole aspect.
I would argue the Senator is a solid B vs bugs.
It only struggles with hunter swarms, against medium targets in the bug faction it feels better than most secondary weapons.
I actually commonly bring the senator against bugs whenever I use a primary that lacks medium armor pen for use against warriors, hive guards, and brood commanders.
The peacemaker pistol has the fastest reload of any current side arm, which makes it the best weapon to use in an emergency like all weapons need reloaded. It’s a small quirk, but it makes it a reliable back up gun
It’s also fantastic with the ballistic shield vs the bots.
Isn't the peacemaker just a worse Redeemer? Have you tried the Redeemer in semi-auto mode?
Honestly I feel the senator deserves much higher, I equipped it as my secondary 2 months ago and never looked back. The medium armor pen is fantastic, and it has high enough damage per shot to knock out a hive guard or brood commander in one cylinder if you're good
Honestly, all beam weapons feel very good when fighting devistators, and even for that I'd pull dagger out of poop tier
Look...
I might be a sucker for Revolvers but...
I just Love the Senator reliability medium penetraiton damages Design *ROUND RELOAD* and just its good in general. The custom Inspection animation is the icing in the cake for me.
Also.
"OCELOT FUCKEN BALLIN'!!!".
The verdict def deserves to be higher on bots bc its a great to use against chaff as it one shots even mg raiders. I often find myself using the jar and its much easier to wip out the verdict and smack the light bots quickly as the handling on the jar makes it annoying to use against smaller light units and also is a good finisher wep when I empty the mag on my jar but need a extra shot to finish a dev off.
Finally found another person who likes the verdict. I personally like to use the verdict and feel like it’s slept on a lot.
The dagger is S tier for bugs. Melts the small and medium ones so fast. Just set them on fire then forget about them because they are toast in a couple seconds.
i dont really like the dagger for bug (haven't used it that much against them) but its amazing for the bots
Pretty good tierlist, but i only disagree with the big iron placement against the bugs. Still, great video, always like watching these weapon tierlists
Can't believe you actually acknowledged the Blitzer comments, and in a completely neutral manner. You're awesome dude!
Haha im on Blitzer punishment now
Couldn’t disagree more on the Dagger, since the addition of the incendiary effect it’s become my go to sidearm on both fronts. The ability to apply DoT with precision while staying mobile is really rewarding. Pairs particularly well with the melee damage armour bonus against the bugs if you’re brave enough to tussle. I only put it away on hot worlds where the cooling inefficiency really drags the small battery down.
I may be an outlier but I'm actually a huge fan of the verdict. It just feels badass even though there are better options
Okay, one thing about the bushwacker against bugs, specifically with shriekers, you can one shot them from basically any range and almost never miss. I was using it in a few missions last night and no matter where they were, the buckshot spread was always tight enough that it would shred through shriekers (sometimes multiple at once). How a shotgun sidearm does a better job of air superiority vs. the cluster rocket i will never know.
Yeap, why even bother with accurate weaponds when can just shoot in the general direction with Bushwhacker.
Airburst launcher isn't meant for anti-air
@@SergeantThug Ironic 😂, still not even good for ground targets since the explosion won’t trigger at center of bug breach.
@@ilovedemocracyy Team kill launcher
@@ilovedemocracyy Word on the street it now better against armored targets capable of oneshotting charger because AH tweaked something about how explosion damage interacts with the armor. For better results aim under the butt.
How dare you disrespect the Senator! It’s awesome! Even better with the speed loader!
Ah, I see you are a man of culture as well.
Hold reload to spin Helldiver o7
Space cowboy here. The Senator is amazing against the bugs. I run the flame shotgun and flamethrower. So the Senator becomes my long range option. I'm also from the future where they buffed it. It 1 shots warriors now.
I used to bring Senator, then the Grenade pistol after I unlocked them. Right now, I am using the shotgun, because the crossbow provides both good damage and can close bug holes and fabricators, so the grenade pistol has lost its use. Also the grenade pistol has too long of a reload. Then again, both the Senator and Grenade pistol are amazing, I just prefer the shotgun because it compliments my crossbow so well.
The Dagger is a bit of a joke, but I'd say it has one smallish niche with bots. If you pair it with the Ballistic Shield and the Explosive Crossbow as your primary, you can use the Dagger as your pseudo primary gun to deal with the trash mobs with complete safety behind your shield, and save your crossbow ammo for more valuable targets like Berserkers and Devastators. Additionally, when paired with the shield, the Dagger can more reliably melt bot heads, especially Devastator heads, so if you find yourself without Crossbow ammo, or find yourself in an area where you feel like you can get away with it to save ammo, the Dagger has your back.
Don't recommend the Dagger without the shield though, or against bugs since the gun overheats too quickly and makes the "Infinite ammo" perk moot.
Also. Do grenades and support weapons next!
Against bugs, you really kinda need one of two things: Either fast rapid fire (Redeemer, Crisper) or stopping power (Grenade Pistol, Bushwhacker). If you don't have either of those things, you're better off finding another weapon. They're going to surround you, and you need something to punch through and buy yourself time.
I would contest your ranking for the senator, the medium armor penetration makes decent work of hive guards and warriors. If you're running a primary that clears chaff well like the breaker incendiary, having the armor pen on the senator kinda fills the gap in capability. Too bad all the secondaries are overshadowed by the grenade pistol now 😢
I dislike your method here. The ranking should focus more on how well these secondaries round out builds.
For example, the Senator isnt great for killing small bugs, but if you have a primary that takes care of that, like the Sickle, the Senators medium pen and high damage makes it a good option for unloading into an armored enemy the Sickle struggles with.
Secondaries should always be the filler that closes the gaps in a build.
I prefer the senator for every situation. It can do it all, deal with every enemy and it just works no matter what. And it is very efficient to keep the drum topped up, no wasted bullets. Since this gun is always reliable and never a bad choice it should get S tier
Love your helldivers vids, keep it up. I think a stratagem tier list per faction would be nice too. Curious what you think of eagle napalm and some others.
7:55. In general if you can light the target on fire the onfire effect will ignore armor, you can legit take out a factory strider this way
I absolutely love the senior one thing I absolutely love to do with it is to hip fire it actually because doing the spin before headshotting a deviator is one of the most addicting and satisfying things in the game
Really good list overall, but I have to totally disagree with the Senator in C against the bugs. That gun totally destroys the smaller armored ones and below. The reload after you totally unload it isn't even that bad. It's saved me far more times than any of the other guns on here.
There is just something about having a little, sawed-off, triple barrel shotgun on my hip that makes me absolutely adore the Bushwacker.
I respect the senator a lot but currently I find myself using the Verdict, and absolutely loving it. I don't think the heavy armor penetration on the senator is even necessary for a pistol, and the fact that the verdict has double the amount count with medium pen just makes it way more effective imo. I find myself using it way more than I ever thought I would
The 1 less DMG for the verdict (because apparently bullets lose exactly 1 DMG making the verdict deal 124 if you stand still or move backwards) rlly hurts since it should be able to 1 tap a devastator / regular raiders but it can't unless you walk forward
2:33 i havent really played since EoF, but the redeemer has been my locked in secondary since i started (abt 200 hours now) cause this is what a secondary should be. If my primary and support are out of ammo, this thing will take out what evers stopping you from reloading up to hulks/chargers. Panic spray whatever in the face and give yourself that room to breath, used to take broodmothers heads off even if every shot landed, but i cant say if it does now. Love this secondary.
Peacemaker is my go-to sidearm. Accurate and though it is semi-auto a quick trigger finger will change that. It is especially useful when in 1st person aiming mode. It doesn't do anything the best but it does do everything good enough to get me out of a variety of deadly circumstances.
The las dagger is REALLY solid against bots and bugs, but not as a “primary.”
If I bring exploding crossbow and recoilless against bots, my tools for deleting enemies in close range are tough- and an ammo free laser that can kill the jetpacks in (if it touches it it dies) speed, because it lights explosives off instantly, it can be really useful for that kind of add clearing.
Similar to the redeemer, and senator, it’s got it’s uses- but I think of them as patching a hole in my toolkit, not being a whole kit themselves :)
I actually like to run the P-19 in semi auto. At that point, it's just a better P-2 in just about every way. I think the P-2 may be more accurate, but running the P-19 in semi auto against the bots and bugs has gotten me out of a lot of bad situations.
The P-19 will one tap light enemies like troopers and scavengers if you land a headshot, and with the high handling, it's pretty easy to do so at close range. The full auto mode also works as a solid panic option when you've got a bigger enemy coming in or a swarm you have no other options for. Solid B tier weapon and my go-to as a standard backup for when I don't need something more specialized like the grenade or stim pistol
Grenade pistol is awesome! And I agree with you about the senator. I feel like it has too little ammo.
Love the smg, its the ultimate "oh shit" back up weapon for when you need to reload but theres dudes right on top of you
Senator is heavy armour pen and performs excellently against most bot enemies. Rounds reload makes it extremely efficient for general use against troopers, patrols and saving your primary ammo. Also its one shot potential against devastators, bezerkers and troopers (two-three shot vs striders) makes it excellent when infiltrating bot jammer and sensor tower bases without being fully detected.
Yeah this video is outdated.
@@DrPooplove whoops I misread the upload time
Its hard for me to rate secondaries. Its like a bow that ties the entire loadout together. Laser pistol sucks though.
After the buffs, laser pistol melt bugs and heads pretty fast! It also set enemies on fire❤️
Dagger on bots is probably WAY better than most realise IF you play to its unique strength - it's very quiet. Bots is probably the only time stealth becomes very viable, you can slowly pick off external low tier bots before throwing in a strategem to take care of the fabs from a distance. I used to run the shield and breeze through objectives, most of the time without even having a shot thrown back at me. If you get in trouble, the shield keeps you safe and you just laser a bot in the face til it stops being an issue. I usually play at difficulty 6 or 7, for frame of reference. I found 8+ is typically impossible to lose aggro and stay 'stealthed'.
I’d put the Senator for the bugs in B. I use it to take out those more armoured targets, especially Bile Spewers Which really helps when you’re running a primary like the Breaker Incendiary.
I was waiting for this one.
If you set the Redeemer to semi auto it essentially gives you a peacemaker with a better sight and double capacity, really useful for high ROF but very controllable aimed shots. They even used to do the exact same damage as well but I believes the redeemer is now 5 less than the peacemaker.
don't care if the senator is bad
you can't make me NOT feel like a gunslinger when I use it
I think this is a pretty fair assessment overall.
My verdict is a go-to for a secondary. The senator is preferred for bots but good lord does it make me wanna REEEEEEEEEE when I'm out of ammo and fighting a hard armor.
Idk the verdict just has that nice utility
Verdict is also good for bugs. Same shots to kill to a hunter compared to a Senator while shooting faster with plenty of ammo. This makes it a good pairing for alongside explosive weapons such as the Eruptor.
@@KillFrenzy96 Yeah, my main bug loadout has been Pummeller + Verdict + Incendiary Impacts + GL + Supply pack. GL handles explosive utility, so I don't need impacts or grenade pistol, Pummeller is good at keeping hunters, stalkers, and commanders stunned, the incendiaries are good at preventing groups of hunters from chasing after you in a retreat or controlling bug breaches until you can get something like an orbital gas on it, and the Verdict is a nice little panic-weapon for when the Pummeller or GL are empty, and a couple hunters are coming at you.
@@NatoStorm Not bad, I also use the GL + Supply Pack. However, I've replaced the Pummeller with the Cookout, which achieves the same stunning effect while greatly extending its range by setting enemies on fire if even a single pellet lands on them (which means landing a single pellet deals at least 125 damage or so over time).
Your grenade can be either Incendiaries (great for eliminating hunter swarms) or Stuns (great for controlling Chargers or swarms). The secondary could be almost anything, but since all your utility has already been covered, the Verdict is a solid choice.
@@KillFrenzy96 I'll prob get around to the Cookout. Unfortunately, I'm still grinding away at the warbonds, and Freedom's Flame will probably be the last one I get
The Verdict is/was a pocket Diligence Sniper when it first came out. Which isn't a bad thing but at the same time suffered from the same problem the Diligence does, in that it doesn't hit the right break points. Note I'm not saying Diligence Counter Sniper, but the actual regular Diligence. Grenade pistol is just a great utility option overall between it's damage and building destruction. Dagger just needs more "ammo" per ice pack. Like a second or two longer fire duration before it completely overheats.
As i mainly use the punisher against bugs (atleast until i get the cookout) running out of ammo is almost 9-9.5 times out of 10 not a problem. Due to this i find the senator to be an awesome gun that compliments the punisher as not only do both reload each round. But the senator makes quick work of hive guards
The Senator has helps me finished so many Automatons man that ish slaps.
Will you do the amour next?
And are you going to put the light, med, and heavies together or have them separated?
I wish you would have done this list by diff level as well for a fully accurate representation of each weapon. For example, using the redeemer is fine for bugs and bots on diff 7 and below, but once you get into 8, 9 and now 10, you need more damage per shot and less ammo expenditure overall due to the sheer volume of enemies. The redeemer is ok at higher levels, but the best overall choice is the grenade pistol. You may as well not even use anything else above diff 7 since nothing will be more useful. The grenade pistol triples as a medium armor killer, a bug hole destroyer, & bot fab destroyer like you've mentioned. No other secondary even comes close to the grenade pistols utility. It literally is the only S tier above diff 7.
i had some good use with the dagger when i was fighting bots while having the explosive cross bow and a ballistics shield. Explosive cross bow for the bigger guys, dagger for the littles. Only real complaint is I feel the explosive cross bow should have a higher mag, to the point i am willing to sacrifice capacity for higher mag
Build is a bit fun though maybe not the best but i find it fun.
Terminids:
GP-31 Grenade Pistol
SG-22 Bushwhacker
P-72 Crisper
Automatons:
GP-31 Grenade Pistol
P-4 Senator
P-113 Verdict
My go-to weaponds for many builds.
I've been rocking the Senator since day 1. What we NEED is a laser sentry for the bots
The dagger becomes a lot more useful against bots when paired with the ballistic shield. It is my got to secondary when i use the explosive crossbow, although I haven’t tried my new and shiny bushwhacker on the bots yet, so who knows, maybe he will take the spot.
One month later and this list is already moot. The senator got a big buff to it's armour pen with a minor base damage buf, it's now AP4 (heavy). The Verdict gets AP3 (medium) and now has double durable damage (white hitmarkers when you are on par with the armour value).
Now both heavy pistols are where it's at. Take the Verdict as a reliable generalist sidearm for medium enemies, and the senator rewards meat shots on all but the largest of enemies.
We have the stim pistol receiving an accuracy/spread buff so it can now fire without the random bloom missing the teammate.
Maybe it's just me, but I feel like the verdict is great against both. Just enough rounds of solid firepower to clear the chaff around you for a reload of your primary, or to keep them off your back while you run for ammo (which is what a secondary should be for IMO)
The only reason I don't run the bushwhacker at literally all times is because the punisher and its variants are pretty much always my weapons against bugs and bots alike. That said, it has similar stagger and rounds reload, not to mention how it served as my weapon to get the "Hold my primary, I'm going in" achievement, and so I dub it an honorary punisher-series sidearm.
Dude the redeemer is goated man, if you aim it at the bots heads primarily then it destroys devastators and berserkers
The Verdict is my go-to secondary unless I need some sort of utility from a secondary. I generally run a Jar 5 and an Autocannon. The Verdict is also accurate at range.
The good thing about the redeemer is that if you put it in semi auto, it just becomes a better peacemaker.
The revolver is just so damn cool i really hope AH will add more of them to the game
Little fact to throw the grenade pistol even higher in players' minds, it can 1shot research stations so long as there's a vent to the top
No judgement when you gave an F on the Peacemaker it ain't the best secondary but in my heart it will be an S. I use it as a run away weapon (saved me on several occasions) Why you ask?
1. The reload is very quick my shots wont be delayed very long
2. Plenty of ammo I never seem to resupply as much as I thought I would
3. Accuracy is good I know my shots will connect and recoil is relatively low so I don't need to aim much
4. The built in laser sight helps me make long range shots
5. Its handed to you at the start so I don't need to work for it

Counter point to the revolver: It's good as an emergency kill tool on the medium and light armored bugs. The Hive Defenders especially are good to take out with the revolver if you are competent with your primary and don't burn it all as well as killing spewers if you land headshots. It can also prove useful in spooking off Stalkers because they screw off if you hurt them fast enough.
I'd move the senator higher and the dagger lower vs. bugs, because for something you only get out once in a while, it's more valuable to nuke a medium armor enemy than to kind of maybe burn the little guys.
Sorry for the double comment, but I have to add. I know you were being fair to the Senator, but I still don't really see your argument for why the Verdict is weaker than the Peacemaker against bots. I feel like it heavily depends on how good of a shot you are to make that small mag really count. One of your main showcases was shooting at Berzerkers as well, which isn't entirely fair as those guys are bullet sponges no matter what you use. I mean I would just say it should go in the same tier but behind the Peacemaker if anything.
Also you should have brought up or experimented with how fast you can shoot the Peacemaker. It might not be ideal but being able unload a whole mag in like 1 second can be pretty helpful in panic situations.
I usually use the reg secondaries to save primary ammo when dealing with the scavs and their variants.
About the senator, you kind of forgot that it’s extremely useful against warriors and brood commanders. You can take em out with about 2/3 shots to the head
The senator against the bugs is good because on higher levels you face a lot of hive guards and alpha commanders and you can shoot through their faces and kill them
Senator is S tier across board. Can kill any bug up to charger and kill most type of bots and even pierce devestator armor meaning if you miss the headshot you still get some damage in
Im a shield and dagger guy. I love when ppl hate it bc it means it might get buffed 😊
i like redeemer vs bots because its super quiet and can kill mounted gunners without alerting everyone in the base and as always larping around is king, also mag dumping in berserker face kinda kills them
I think the peacemaker does enough against small bugs to be C tier at the very least. True, it can't do too much against bigger bugs, but I've found it to be useful on certain loadouts due to it being a decent option to hipfire while trying to get smaller bugs off of you. Not as good as the redeemer, but it gets the job done.
edit: why did youtube put this on my homepage when the video with the updated list was on my notifications?
Haven't even watched the video yet, but the Bushwhacker Shotgun is the BEST secondary in the game. S tier, no question!
The magnum for the brood leaders is great withe breaker incendiary for some medium penetration, rip the breakers 2 lost mags
What about the throwables? Not to sound needy or demanding (and sorry if I am) But will you do a tier list for them?
4:05 this is one of the places the devs failed on break points again. They _really_ need to keep them in mind when designing each new weapon, otherwise that bigger damage number just turns in to a newb trap.
The dagger CAN be decent against bots if you use it with a ballistic shield. You can stand right in front of heavy devastators and laser their head, and you can get a lot of them since it has infinite ammo
Every time I boot a video up from this channel I take psychological damage from hearing the name
If I have a primary that can close bugholes or factories, or am planning to take a support weapon that can do so, I generally take the Verdict. Otherwise the Grenade Pistol all the time.
Peacemaker is also suppose to be the quietest of the pistol secondaries, making it the best for bot stealth
I'd say that Senator is A tier for both bots and bugs, as it 1-taps warriors and hunters in the head and is the only sidearm aside from crisper and grenade pistol that can kill guardians.
the dagger ranking is painful, it is amazing when paired up with a ballistic shield against bots, it can easily take out shield/rocket devastators and its perfect for clearing out the little guys while i use the crossbow for the big guys
this is from before the latest buffs
I would have to disagree with your ranking of the P-4 senator, although it's slow, it can one tap headshot hunters and it's medium armor penetration allows you to just shoot as the face shield of a hive guard and kill it without having to go behind it and hit the weak points with something else, it burns through ammo but I yet to run out of ammo with it on Haz 9-10s as long as I use it mainly on hive guards.
While the senator may not be the best for the bugs, it can take out hive guard really easily. I carry it while using the breaker incendiary and when something with higher armor comes along just mag dump on it w the senator and it’s gone.
Redeemer used to just be a better peacemaker when they had the same damage. Even now I'd argue it's still just a better peacemaker despite 15 less damage per shot. Set it to semi auto and you have an extremely accurate pistol with a red dot.
