People did used to always get annoyed at me for breaking a flake of hay in half. Unfortunately, there was no other way. My pony is a really easy keeper, and could only get a partial flake at each meal. I had to choose between a foundered pony and people being annoyed. The health of my pony won out. Now my ponies are at home. No more issues.
Don’t worry I used to do that to when I had a pony he was really close to foundering 😅🥲
Yeah, I was honestly confused about that one. I was like "Well, how are you supposed to do it?" I mean, if anything, you might wanna wear gloves since hay can be kinda pokey, but other than that, I don't get it.
I don't get the wet food one. We mix feed by hand

A couple weeks ago, one of the volunteers at our horse rescue was mucking stalls and I kid you not, he set down his pick, knelt down on the ground and started PICKING UP THE POOP WITH HIS BARE HANDS AND PILING IT IN HIS ARMS and then carried it over to dump in the cart. I just kind of stood there and stared... it was awful

i love how most equestrians will willingly have horse poop thrown on them fro entertainment (including me😂) but my non-horsey friends scream and run away if they step in any

I swear on everything all horse people are psychopaths, that’s how they can sell their horses to the kill buyers and when their horses get put down they opt to send them to the rendering plant for free rather than paying to have them cremated.

hi. i'm a newbie working as a volunteer at a ranch. i'm proud i understood most of the psycho bits ☺but...i have questions about 2 of the scenarios...when you tie a horse to a post, what did she do wrong? was it that the knot was messy? also, the MSM medication, is it that she used her dirty hands to mix the food? or is it that she was just sloppy preparing the food? Also, what is MSM normally used for? thank you so much.

These were so cringey and painful to watch lol the worst one were
1: stacking the hay vertically
2: pulling the flake apart
3: not using a slip knot
All of these were very very painful to whitness but these three were the worst one by far in my opinnion
These are always so funny - but it is distracting and not accurate to have horse people doing chores with their hair loose all the time. I have hair this long or longer. Been in horses for over 50+ years. Never have it down and blowing all over in the way.
