Hey actor! If you’re still hunting for the perfect fit monologue, I’ve put together a collection of my favourite Shakespeare monologues sorted by casting type and general vibe. Makes it easy to pick one you love and another one to contrast. You can find it here: shakespearewithsarah.com/shakespeare-collection/

In your opinion, since you mention you believe it can be cut, which parts could you cut if you need it to be maximum 2 minutes?

your videos are so helpful! i'm sure you have a lot of requests but would you be able to cover julia's "this babble shall not henceforth trouble me" from two gentlemen of verona and portia's "i pray you tarry" from merchant of venice?

Heeelpp Sarah! I absolutely love your videos, you have been so helpful to me while I'm preparing for drama school auditions. I've just read my audition requirements and it says it needs to be a speech in verse, does this count as a verse speech? I've been working really hard on it and now I'm concerned i can't use it! Thank you so so much

Excellent analysis of text and context; getting "under the skin" as it were of the character. I did, however, feel that you rushed the reading a little. Just my opinion though and I know there's really no one definitive approach. Also, anyone considering this monologue will need to do a fair bit of rehearsal to get comfortable with it. All in all though, very useful and insightful. Thanks and look forward to more like this.

Yes fair enough! I do have a tendency to rush. I’ve never performed this one so it was a pretty rough read. I was just helping an actor with this monologue today and now I want to make this whole video again because there’s so much more to talk about! But it would end up being such a long video so maybe not. 😂
Thanks for watching as always Keith.
