I think skill degradation is an over exaggerated problem. At the current level of AI you still need to do a lot manually. So there are still a lot of opportunities to practice your lets say programming skills. And in the future when AI improves the next Generation of "programmers" will not learn python, in the same way that today nobody learns assembler.
This is exactly right. I actually started making a game with almost no experience, still dev’ing and almost 50% through my game and I actually learned TONS because even though ChatGPT can spit out code that I can copy, I STILL have to understand what’s going on or the game will break (which has happened and has forced me to understand what’s going on in order to fix it).
Exactly this, AI doesnt allow anyone competency in a skilled industry 😂 the Individual still needs extensive knowledge of said subject in the first place, this videos baso just an Ad with a clickbait title for Sloyd. What they say on consistency is completely wrong too, ive made multiple character turnaround sheets based on the same Sprite using stable diff locally with alot of tweaking
This video motivates me to code. Completely agree on the skill degredation part, maybe not right now, but in the next generation for sure. Just like how many modern Python/JS users lack the skill of understanding code that's closer to the hardware, and use multiple layers of abstraction to get their job done, similarly the next generation might not even know of programming fundamentals like control flow or powerful paradigms. AI reliant programmers are definitely moving towards becoming skill-less mushes of flesh
And youre getting dropped because youre too slow to do anything. There is difference between using tools and being lazy. This comment is just sort of patting your self
No matter what tools you're using, if your creation looks very much like someone else work - you can be in trouble. If not - no one can tell with 100% certainty that this is AI work. Especially when you add some work in top of AI stuff. All that fears around AI are just silly. If it can be done - it's gonna be done. If lawyers, somehow, gonna slowdown AI in USA or EU, China and other countries gonna push forward, and gonna be leaders in AI tech. General AI gonna make our lives much easier, no matter if you poor or rich.
AI, like any other great tool from history, will not go out. Learn to use it or get overrun by technology. And there is no reason to use it. Only valid reason from video is legal troubles IF, some companies use data they shouldnt have.

Good points, I hope you're right 😁👍
thats a very good take!

Hahahaha
