1st Phish show. Really enjoyed it. Got a kick out of the stage set-up as a fish tank when I first entered the venue. I assumed this was something they did at every show but later learned it was just for this late ‘93 New Year’s run. It was Christmas break, there was a blizzard happening outside, I was all of 16 years old and my friends and I were discovering that first taste of freedom of having your driver’s license and being able to get tickets for the Phish show. No adult supervision anymore. We were driving ourselves. We found as much trouble as we could. Found what we thought was the best pot ever before the show and smoked as much of it as we possibly could. Spent all my hard earned money on that and a wonderful new discovery - N2O. We thought we were partying as hard as Keith Richards ever did. Had a great time at the show and couldn’t get over how good Trey was. Every song he seemed to be trying to show how they were the best live band out there. Came out into that blizzard throwing snowballs at each other w/ that post-show mix of sweat, smoke, and just stank and boy was it fun. Oh to be young again.
Was fortunate enough to catch this run of shows. What a time to be alive and seeing Phish! God damn! Everything was on fire, Trey confident to the point of cocky. Love it!
Approaching 27 years ago; my first show. Wow. Went to college down the road at Fairfield U; met some phriends, one show led to another...great, great times.
27th anniversary of this, my first show. Somehow never thought to look for video of it before. Amazing! Whish I had appreciated it/knew more at the time.
Yup about 6 inches down when we got out, we had to drive up to Providence after the show in that storm. Amazed we survived. Then went on to Portland for the 30th. Great run!

Say what you want about Phish, but Trey was UNTOUCHABLE in the 90s!
I followed Phish back in 92 and I agree Trey was untouchable but Jon fishman was a male slut ;) he was the womanizer lol . So was Mike ...
For those ten years they were the greatest band ever. Still amazing as well.

we got stuck in a massive traffic jam leaving the parking lot after the show. played football in the snow in our birkenstocks. great times!!!
