    I see that a lot lately . People buy a piece of property and build a cover over there RV /BUS . So that they can still travel around the country. And have a place to park with power and water and of course sewer. The one near me us so landscaped nicely.

    How funny! I'm just south of you guys right now. Came up from Texas to Monument Co to ride with my son and family for his birthday. We rode motorcycles through Buena Vista to Crested Butte for lunch. Will be headed home this morning.
    Had to take a break from my RV rebuild.....

    What a beautiful place thanks for sharing, I was thinking of your idea of getting a peice of land as all you have to do is install a sewer dump and have electricity and a garage then just park your motor home on it and live in it if it were a house then when you two travel all you would need to do is lock the garage and drive away.

    Interesting, we are doing it the other way around, having lived & worked hard for nearly fifty years we are now taking our retirement years on the road, we want to be able to travel to each area & explore without time & work pressures but who knows maybe we will also find a hidden oasis to spend the sunset days of our lives, my wife is Thai & seeing you eating the food makes realize how luck I am to enjoy it at will, lovely to see you living through your adventures instead of stressing over the bus build.

    • @Rehabit8
      @Rehabit8  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Glad you are getting to enjoy your retirement! Lucky you, I bet your wife makes really authentic meals too. I haven't been to Thailand before so I'm not sure if what we are eating here is "americanized" thai.

      @@Rehabit8 Thanks, If you do one thing in your life go to Thailand, they don't call it Amazing Thailand for nothing, if you do make sure to go to non tourist areas (you need a trustworthy guide) the food, the scenery & the people are amazing, my wife makes the fresh spring rolls you had, sensational! stay safe & travel well.

    I am a Lady too. I have Scottish ancestry ( Dress Gordon and Campbell ) so bought some of this land to protect it for the future. Thank you so much for encouraging others to do the same, we need to protect our beautiful Scotland. ❤️❤️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 I’m with Don on the donuts, you have to try many until you get the right one. Love the sculptures.

    You have found another beautiful place to visit. Don was in his element with the shops even though it was cake shops. The trail walk had a wonderful reward at the top of the walk. what fantastic views. The sculpture park was amazing. I can see why you put it on your list. I know that Don's brother would be happy if you ever settled there but I would like to know what the locals think about their place.

    You don’t seem to like cold. So I would suggest southern or east coast states. Prices are much better and winters are not as harsh. We traveled before we chose AZ for getting away from MN winters. We also enjoyed Georgia and the Carolinas. Just some ideas.

    When walking those types of trails, ideally it’s always a good idea to have a .45 cal weapon at best or shotgun with salt pellets at worst on your person to deal with any wildlife that is dangerous.

      Very true. My sons house here in Monument get raided by bears every night. They tear open some of the toughest trash cans I've seen. Going to make him some steel enclosures to park his trash can in to stop this. But basically one does not go outside in the dark unarmed. They have attacked family dogs and charged his kids... Bear scan be unpredictable.

    Thanks for the epic views of my home state. if you guys are avid skiers Co is the place for you. if NOT just know most places where it snow's and freezing winter's last 5 to 6 mo. Co. winters however last a good 8mo+then some. I love my home state but that is the reason I don't live there anymore haven't for decades. although I will say this Co.has a lot of sunny days in the freezing snowy cold winter's. I love my home state of Co. in the short-lived summer you can't beat them little to no humidity but nice and hot. if the winters weren't so harsh and long I would still live there. Safe and happy travels.Thanks for sharing ✌️🥰

      Glad you enjoyed it! Yeah that’s my fear of anywhere in Colorado. But we may choose a summer home and winter home somewhere south. We’ll see. Because we are not made for real winters 😉

    Hi Mela & Don! The truth is that I discovered your channel quite late. Although I am a fan of travel and especially of reconstructions and refurbishing of any kind and at all possible, I don't know for what reason, the youtube algorithm shared you on my page only yesterday, with one of your latest videos. I can say that the end of your shoot found me with a big and kind of idiotic smile on my face. After I recovered a bit, the first gesture was to fully subscribe to your channel, then I searched for the beginning of your adventure. After spending many hours following pretty much everything you posted, I had the revelation and also the sadness of wasted time. Yes, you and your dream are all I ever wanted to do in my life. It's a pity that for me it's too late. Anyway, thank you for sharing with us these moments full of real life, with the trials, hardships and natural troubles that each of us encounters daily in the desire to fulfill our dream. Keep it that up, you are made for each other!

    Check out Telluride Colorado I absolutely think that is one of the most awesome towns in the whole wide world that I've seen and I've been all over the country I live in Wyoming and I absolutely love Wyoming and will not leave it not even for Telluride but it's a nice place to check out.. we did the same thing traveled around different parts of the state we knew which state we wanted to be in but we traveled around in that state for 2 years to figure out exactly what felt good to us and the winters here are not exactly harsh I come from northern Minnesota and we get the same kind of weather as inland Alaska in Minnesota 40 below for days and even some 80 below temperatures and that's without windshield I remember those days and I'd like to forget them but I've been in Wyoming now for 8 years and I have yet to see a winter that even comes close to one of those it's usually right around freezing so you need to check out the winters to see what you figure you can handle I know when I was younger like you guys I thought I could handle it but when I hit my fifties I couldn't handle the cold anymore and now I'm in a place with just perfect it doesn't get too hot in summer and doesn't get too cold in the winter

    I'm so happy for you that you are finally on the road and discovering the world. I' m wondering why you did not install a washing machine in your bus. The bus is big enough for it and you have enough water. Perhaps this could be anupgrade for your beautiful bus. Best greatings from Germany.

    • @Rehabit8
      @Rehabit8  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      From many people we spoke to, they said they ended up hardly using it because it takes up so much water and power. This way we can last longer off grid. Also, to be honest we can go to the laundromat and do 5 loads at once. Within 1.5 hrs all our laundry is done. It's faster and easier and saves our water and power for other things.

    Wow you all just blew me away over 3 years of watching you build the tiny home that you are going to live and travel the US. Now you tell me that you are looking for that special place that you want to live maybe maybe build something or remodel something to to call home I thought after all these years that's what the tiny home on wheels was your home. If that is the case why did you take 3 years to do this bus conversion into a tiny home. When you could have bought a nice motor home and done the same thing if you are looking for a place to build and live Is permanently.WHAT A LET DOWN.

    • @Rehabit8
      @Rehabit8  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jim, I think you need to go back and listen to what we said. We plan on traveling in the bus for many years and then living in the bus for even more years even if we do buy land.
