My daughter plays sports, she was into cricket ( the issue is that there aren't any good cricket academy for girls!), then she changed to skating, then tennis, then badminton, then swimming..
Presently she is doing cricket.
She is doing one or other thing from past 6 years and now she is 11 years. She is practicing bowling as her coach says she is good at it. It's such a good stress buster and she feels so happy doing it ( despite so much time they need to do fitness and that's so so tiring, leg cramps!)
I think it's very important that both boys and girls play sports regularly. It definitely helps physical health but more of the mental health. Kids become more wise, and any team game also teaches you team spirit n sportsmanship.
One of her idols is sitting in this podcast.
