@NurdDesigns Squeeze a small amount of cotton wool between the case and the mic. It was a tip given to me.

Very helpful. Onboard video camera will be my next major purchase.

@reillypadraig I believe that almost any bike is suitable as a first large bike as long as you are sensible, the throttle turns both ways For me the SV was a perfect balance. It is forgiving and yet has the smooth power delivery when I need it. It is light and easy for me to move around. Cheap insurance and abundant parts in case you have a spill or to customise. I had mine lowered a touch. Not the best ride for commuting or long rides due to the riding position but depends on what you want.

Thanks for the info. I hadn't heard of the Drift HD before. I might get one as a second camera.

@reillypadraig It can be a leap of faith. I sat on a Sv before I bought one but I didnt get to test ride one, in the main because I needed to have mine lowered. I recently went to Motorcycle Live at the NEC and got to sit on all sorts of bikes, that was really helpful. It crushed my dream of a MV Augusta F3, surprised me how tall a Triumph Street Triple was and I was almost flatfooted on a Ducati Diavel!! Ultimately if you make a mistake, you can sell it on.

@mkrmec ..I'm the guy with the other camera and I totally agree with you, we pre-arranged to do that purely for the camera as it's a wide FOV so well picked up on there. We normally ride with a safe distance between us. Cheers :-)

I used the chest mount for the GoPro or mount it to the bike. On my ducati it is on the handlebars as the tank is plasticand on the SV I mount it usuing the suction mount to the windscreen. I don't mountthe GoPro to the helmet because tbh I think it looks awful. Its a bit too big and lumpy for my liking to be attached to my helmet. I know dilinq does this and so maybe ask her. My drift hd is attached to my helmet and there is no drag at all although I do look like predator!

Biker chick, I was just wondering if you could feel the wind resistance/drag from the camera mounted to your helmet. I have a 2011 CBR250R and was trying out different mounting locations on for my GoPro last night. I just used the picture mode while I was stationary to try and get the different view points. The best one seemed to be the top of the fuel tank just behind the filler cap.

Nice vid. Just a quick question ,would you recomend a sv650 as a first bike? Seems to be the cheapest option insurance wise for me. I was asking Russ buy just wanted abit of insight from someone that has owned 1?

@BikerChickVids your dead right. But comfort wise im abit stupid. Iv only sat on about 10 bikes and the most comfortable bike iv sat on was the bike in my profile pic, the 08 gsxr750. And there's no hope in he'll I could Aford it or get insurance on it so I'll have to look around but not too many places here willing to let you sit on bikes to get the feel unless your gona buy.
