I just want to thank you. This is something ive wanted to do for the 5 years ive owned my 240sx and I've never really found a solid video and I was always told it was extremely hard, but you've simplified it enough for me to understand and feel confident in myself to take this on myself.
If anyone else is thinking of doing the same, keep in mind that soldering is NOT recommended in automotive as it weakens the wires and can break during stress and vibration. Crimping is the way to go. Except for that detail, great work.
I just got done doing this in my rhd car and it was not fun lol dope build man it's sick to see people not running to new chassis and still running S chassis
Been watching this over and over I'm in the middle of a project bulid and am looking to redo the harness but don't know anyone close that can help with it trying get as much information on it before tackling the job lol
Amazing Wiring is one thing I don't mess with You could charge big money for that- the transformation in the engine bay is well worth the effort and money - they look awesome without all the mess in there - great job
I wanna do this for my s14 but I'm legit terrified about wiring. I think I'll go to a junk yard and get a full harness out of a Nissan (insert name here) and just try simplifing like this, with the FSM. For practice purposes
Just a heads up to anyone out there wanting to make their own harness...you do NOT concentric twist a wire bundle by putting the end of the bundle in a drill. That is NOT the correct way to twist the wires. If you want a good detailed explanation, check out hpacademy and www.rbracing-rsr/wiring_ecu.html
I've had a problem once twisting together wires like that with a drill, it caused interference for some reason... Never figured it out but maybe if u do that with only power wires it'll be fine but not sensors......
Have you seen the tessa tape that isn't furry? Much better for exterior harnesses. Also, we find putting wires in a drill to twist them in that way causes excess stretch and strain on the wiring and insulation. Proper concentric twisting is done by hand.

I've also been doing it just started few days ago but haven't been able to work on it much. Turning out good though.
