Please post videos of writing simple hebrew words using all these script letters. It's easier to learn letters in the context of words, and to see their relationships to each other. Thanks! Appreciated these a lot.
I am dumb and a slow learner with this short video of written slowly with a pencil on paper I learned the whole alphabet written in print and cursive form in less then 5 minutes..... :) shalom
Thanks for showing cursive! I've actually never seen cursive Hebrew in my life. Does it make writing faster for native speakers? Or is it just personal preference, like cursive is in English? I've been refreshing on everything I learned in Hebrew school many many years ago in order to finally build upon it, and it's amazing how quickly everything comes back. I'm not sure if we're just taught Hebrew handwriting differently in the west, but we started with curved letters & do write a few letters differently. We write each part of the letter in the same order as you do, with pen/pencil in the same direction as yours, so it's definitely confusing seeing my writing differences from that of native speakers. For example, we're taught not to cross any letters. It was also difficult for me to adapt to digital Hebrew font lol, but I wrote down all the characters vertically next to each handwritten letter, like you're doing here, and I was able to start reading it right away (given I still reference this "key" every now & then, especially when reading a more stylized font).
Hi Walter, at this point there is no PDF. I am thinking about creating a new one for all the letters. I will sure let you know when I do. Thanks for asking, yom tov!
The final letter or Sofit will always appear at the end of a word. Never in the middle or beginning of a word. For example, the letter פ in the word פרצוף (face = par-tsúf). Notice the final letter ף and the regular form at the beginning. Same letter, different forms.

Yes! :) 5, and those are Mem, Nun, Tsadi, Pe and Kaph. Or ם ן ץ ף ך.

differnce between using sofit or letter?
