  • I saw Benny from @thefoolsapprentice do this tag, and I decided to hop on because it's a really cool tarot tag! This tag is originally created by @SylvainsDeadlySins . Sit back, relax, and enjoy my deadly sin decks lol.
    The prompts are:
Pride: A deck you flex or are proud to have.
Greed: A deck you only use for yourself.
Wrath: A deck you're angry at.
Envy: A deck you wanted because other people have it.
Lust: A deck you like for aesthetic reasons.
Gluttony: A deck you didn't need but purchased anyway.
Sloth: A deck you use when you're feeling lazy.

i love your videos! if ever i was going to do a video, i think this would be my first one. the entire concept is so thought provoking and right up my alley. i think it says a lot about a person, the decks they choose for each prompt. this was so much fun to watch and i can totally understand your choices! 😍✨

Omg yes girl I would love to watch a video from you! I agree, I think this video says a lot about people so this feels like being exposed a little LOL

Loved this video! Great deck selections. Funny story about Ritual Tarot. I really resisted purchasing because I wanted to be that girl who didn’t want to like and work with something so highly recommended, favorited, coveted, and because I think a part of me that tried resisting used the excuse of “how good can this really be, is it overhyped?” Well, I decided to purchase a few other decks first was voyager, then Jumbledance, then I got Telezma (all fantastic decks btw) and then I’m pretty sure you know what came next, lol. I really resisted for months, questioning others even in a damn Reddit about it (99 percent recommended.) So alas, I became that girl and I am so happy I did because ritual tarot really is truly remarkable. Profound, raw, it absolutely deserves the praises and accolades. However, I now have four decks (which isn’t a bad thing) but I just find it amusing how my brain works and I’m not wanting to also shell out for the deck (even though Telezma was expensive too) I ended up shelling out more money and still in the end purchased ritual, lol.
Tarot of mystical moments is a tough cookie to crack. I have a good handful of decks that aren’t dishing out wisdom and guidance without effort on my part. I feel certain decks like the Mary-el, Barbara Walker Tarot, faeries oracle, ritual tarot even, and a few others require a good bit of deep diving, romancing, putting in effort on my part to show my dedication and even respect (if that makes sense.) Some decks I can read with immediately and others need more wining and dining, which is fine.
I also feel the bohemian gothic tarot is a bit of a humble brag, lol. I love that tarot and am really happy I was able to purchase. Did you preorder the Victorian romantic tarot?
    Anywho, I’ll shut it..great video!

Honestly, I think that’s why it’s better to get the deck you actually want instead of buying other decks that might be “similar”, because I feel like it’s only going to make you want the deck even more and you end up spending more. 🤣 Right now I’m like that with the Marea Tarot. It’s really pricey but I’m thinking that I should eventually get that one instead of getting a different deck to try and “fill that void” because I know I will get it eventually LOL. Yes you’re right, the Ritual Tarot is a lot more intuitive. And yes, I did preorder the Victorian Romantic! 😊

Interesting what you said about the tarot of mystical moments. I have that deck too, but I only do one card pulls with it. So I have actually not done a full reading with it yet. I’m curious if I would have the same experience as you do.
I know I’m in the minority about the ritual tarot, but I have no interest in buying that deck. Everybody on TH-cam has it, but it does not call to me. It could be the collage style. I am not a huge fan of collage style decks. The tarot of Aphrodite and the bohemian Gothic tarot are more up my alley.
Honestly, don’t all of our decks fall under the category of “gluttony”? Lol. I mean, do I really need 35 tarot decks? Anyway, great video!

Haha, i guess all of our decks do fall under gluttony because technically you only need one deck to read. But i think it really depends on why you’re collecting decks in the first place. For me, I love art and started collecting tarot and oracles for that reason. I didn’t even know at the time that collecting tarot was even a thing I just really loved the artwork and started collecting anyway haha. For the Tarot of Mystical Moments, I think decks work differently for each person. What may not work for me might work really well for someone else and vice versa. As for the Ritual Tarot, I think this deck suits people who love maximalist collage artwork, which i do really like, so if that’s not your thing then i would skip out on it personally.

I'd like to hear more about your Nemeth Tarot study… I have it. Love the colors but seems hopeless to understand without Jonasa Jaus’ storybook. I'm also thinking of reading a book from Jodorowsky that Jonasa references as a guidebook… what are your sources?

I’m mainly googling things. Some of the tales the cards reference are a bit of a scavenger hunt though as I think some tales/legends are told through word of mouth. I’ll check out that book because it might be really helpful!
