Dave Barlow with Snuggles here. My uncle Charlie had an FC and was a welder and the Fire Chief of the Middletown, RI Fire Department. Lots of good memories of that Jeep. His had a plow as well. His was turquoise in color and he was constantly working on it. So glad you got this one. Looking forward to seeing more updates on this as you go forward!
I've met you a few times at the annual show. Your work always speaks for itself. I especially like this FC project glad that you are doing it. I learned more in this video that I have in a while! On jeeps of course. Congrats on this find.
IT'S AWESOME....!!!! Used 'em in the Airforce..for a wide range of jobs...all in all..a great vehicle!! Can hardly wait to see what the " teach " comes up with ,for " old smoky "!!?? Gonna be another great adventure, indeed!! C ya on the next video !! 👍🐺🧙♂️👍
I was in a volunteer fire company that had three FC fire apparatus, two LWB and one SWB. The two LWB’s were used for quick attacks out in the county and the SWB had a flatbed with a skid unit used for grass fires. The SWB was a bit lively to drive and IMHO was overloaded with it’s 150 gallon water tank.
Outstanding find especially in that condition. Always wanted one but every time i find one in my area its rotted through and nearly beyond repair or they want a ridiculous price for it 🤨 Can't wait to see your restoration work on it. Thanks for the walk around 👍
Way way way more room and more comfortable than a cj. It’s not even close. It’s incredible. Thanks that may be my favorite part. The vehicle itself is way bigger than a normal jeep.
