We need to expand the all star selections to 15 imo. It was made 12 when the league had 8 teams and hasn't changed. The All NBA and All Def have received revamps (expansions) so why not the all star game? We're also due for another expansion of All League teams (the last one was when All NBA 3rd team was added in 1989. The Heat joined the league expanding it from 22 teams to 23). Maybe make it 2 All East teams and 2 All West teams. Point is, we're overdue for an expansion in the awards system.
I honestly think that expanding to 36 teams. Would be perfect. Each team plays each other twice and teams in the same division play 3 times. Having the season be 78 games.

Going by that route, there should be 3 championship a year where the winner of the 1st dont participate in the 2nd and 3rd while the winner of the 2nd don't participate in the 3rd, since there's so many good teams and it should be a participation award for all.

They should have expanded the team by at least one extra player per team. The league has tripled in size since the 12 man decision was made. This is especially true when the league has standardized adding award incentives to players' individual contracts.

LOW's point about relativity falls short when you consider they have already done this with other awards like All-NBA. The value ahs already been increased because a smaller percentage of players make the team. There will always be snubs but that doesn't mean changes are a bad idea.
I know you a Lakers fan but this is insane. Bad teams generally don't get 2 Allstars. Getting 2 or more allstars is a privilege you get when your team is actually good

Everything is relative. Averaging 27 and 11 on 43% and around 37% ain’t bad when you consider the shots he have to take. You can say what you want about Trae but he have made the hawks an offensive power house every year even tho they struggle to build the perfect defensive team around him. Also Trae have made the playoffs the last 3 years while it’s a couple guys that have missed it including the guy you mentioned in your comment.

I think tie breakers should be awarded with how many times the player beats the other all star from the beginning of the season till now.
They should have expanded the team by at least one extra player per team. The league has tripled in size since the 12 man decision was made. This is especially true when the league has standardized adding award incentives to players' individual contracts.

@@darrengordon-hillyeah they have up to 18 players on roster. 15 under contract. The extra 3 spots are used for two way players. So they should up the all star game to 15 from both conferences because they carry more players than all star game allow to be recognized.
