Love watching your process. The last few videos don't have a place to like with a 'thumbs up', just the thumbs down. I clicked before I realized and unclicked. The black and white videos are simply splendid!
I love that piece that is primarily white. with the 4 circular shapes scraped out the rectangular shapes at the bottom. The black scaps added to it are perfect.
Dear Jackie, thank you so much for that great video. I love that you work with collages. There are so few videos with collages on TH-cam that I love. I enjoy your videos all the more. It is alwys so inspiring to look how you work.
Than you so much. Now I’m obsessed with black and white tissue paper collage. I also did a similar piece to this with Quin red and Indian yellow. Tho when I cut it up into 4’s to work on them more I kind of love them as is. Ha.
How inspirational your work is, thank you for sharing. I've been making collage paper with a gel plate and I'm now looking forward to using them in my abstract paintings.
Fun to watch and inspiring as always ❤We pretty much take it for granted but aren't we fortunate that we live at a point in human history where we can make art by putting pieces/colors/shapes together in any way that pleases us :)
I fear that I found what you call indecision reassuring! I need say no more. I also agree heartily with the time - out idea. Overnight usually works for me if i am not sure and then i know instantly. Can i ask you if you use mediums to stick down or plain old pva. I am doing a 365 collage personal challenge ( yes ridiculous i know but a great way to learn collage) and seem to get thru litres of medium but everyone goes on about how archival it is. Here in lil old Uk we are obsessed with the cost of living crisis and pva would sure ease the soaring cost of my art process. Great work and i look forward to the rest of this stunning project. Thanks and Best R
I use gloss medium. Here in the US, I buy it from a company called Nova Color - they only sell directly to artists so their prices are much better than buying Golden supplies through art stores. Shipping is a bit much even domestically though, so I can’t imagine it would be cost effective for you to ship to the UK. Might be worth looking into just in case though. In the past, I e used both Golden mediums and Utrecht mediums and liked them both. Hope that helps - the costs seem to be rising everywhere 😬
Hi! I use heavy body, soft body, and fluid/high flow acrylic paints - I switch them up. And I frame collages the same way I would frame anything else - just with mat board and a picture frame ☺️
I hate to say anything because you are generous to share your process but the ba badatda ba is so repetitive and distracting for me. I would mute it but I want to hear your comments. Your choice of course but maybe consider omitting “music?” Really nice art and I enjoyed seeing how you made the decisions to bring them together.
Thanks for your feedback, Yvonne - you’re not wrong about the repetitive music 😂😂😂 I’ve been meaning to try out different things but haven’t don’t it yet. Thanks for the reminder! I’ll try one without the music soon 👍 So glad you’ve enjoyed the videos other than that part ❤️
That's such a great idea, cutting painted butcher paper for collage!
Cutting-edge creativity! 😍👍 Love your support!

Great seeing and hearing how the decisions and all the options you tried turned out the final artwork. All four are great. Thanks for sharing!

Uh oh, it’s contagious! 😂😂😂 It’s so great when they stand up just as they are - way to go!
Nice! I loved your decision to continue the orb shapes w/ the black and white on that final quadrant. All four are fab!
Thanks Heather! 😘😘😘

How do you frame collages?
Do you use heavy or soft body acrylic paint?

Cool! What kind of glue do u use?
Thanks Bonnie - I use gloss medium to glue collage pieces down
Nice👍will u frame it?
Thanks! Not sure about framing yet, but it’s on the list for sure ☺️
