Had to look up Cyber Blader because I had the same reaction as you. Apparently the effects are functionally the same, this reprinted version just cleaned up the effect description. This box is so nostalgic, great video.
Noticed you weren't familiar with the "speed duel" embossing on all the cards. Speed duel is its own format seperate from the main game, and it uses smaller decks and a smaller field. You can only use these "speed duel" official cards in speed duel decks, but they are also perfectly legal in regular yugioh decks. That's why they have that marking to identify what is intended for speed duel and what isn't. Fantastic content as always!
The BattleCity Speed Duel Big Deck Box is the 1st. This Gx box is the 2nd. Speed Duel series has the cards that are available in the Yugioh SD mobile game. There are 4 Booster Boxes so far from this series and also 8 smaller 20-card decks of old school characters.
the battle city one looks cool too. I want some of those cards in that box. This box would be fun to play with some friends on a weekend or something. I was reading bits of how to use the speed duel decks!
You should definitely sit down and enjoy it. It’s a great gen with many cool deck types. I love the viper deck archetype the most and blaze accelerator archetype. But a ton of fun decks. And as always my good sir, fab video. :)
speed duel boxes are really weirdly packaged but i get why, its 8 decks in this just like battle city + extra cards and skills, but its in 4 things of plastic so they dont have to use as much plastic, which is probably better for the environment but id rather they find some other way to group them out into 8 decks + the extras pile. maybe little compartments separated out by stuff like that cardboard bit that seemed kinda useless?

I love speed duel series because they reprint many of the old school cards that haven't been reprinted as much or never.

Skill Cards are like fancy spell cards that remain outside of the field throughout the duel. Kind of like Field Spells too
