There were a lot people who saw through his BS but couldn't leave due to fear that he instill in them. I honestly wish these people lived. They didn't deserve what happened. Jim Jones was a Democrat and linked to CIA. He recorded everything because the tapes where being studied. The power structure was amazed how a white man could entrance so many blacks/minorities to follow him to the ends of the earth. Many of his tactics are still used today by white Democrats against minorities to manipulate them and keep them in power. Struggle sessions also known as catharsis, promising them utopia, how they are constantly in danger for the "other", promising them money and freedom and how only they can provide it.
