Sir, one of the memory set missed the heat pad and the other got two! There are two set perpendicular to each other. Check time 4:31 and 11:36
Can you put an stock intel cpu cooler on the dell optilex 790 sff motherboard?
An air compressor with the small blower tip is really nice for cleaning things like that fan! Also i use a dry paper towel to get some of the thermal paste off before using alcohol. I'd never use a blade on the die! It can get nicks on it and then you'll drag that across your surface. A general rule of thumb is if the material is harder than what you are rubbing it against, the other material WILL yield, and get scuffed up or whaever.
For example you wouldnt want to use a steel bristle brush on an aluminum surface because aluminum would be softer, and you'll start taking material off.

Can you do a video on upgrading the Dell Latitude E6440 CPU, and do a benchmark?
My e6540 has the i7 4810mq installed. It can run pretty hot. I suggest reducing the max/min processor state in the power settings under "Processor power management" (you can right click battery bottom right of screen and select power options. I reduced it to 85% min/max and it reduced the temperatures by 10-15 degrees, and doesn't exceed 70C, usualy idles around 45-51C and can go up to 60C when doing tasks. Another thing to note is within the BIOS, if the Intel Turbo boost is active, while the Intel Speedstep is disabled, the performance will increase but it will run very hot. Up to 90-96C under more extreme loads. I found having Intel Speedstep enabled while Turbo boost disabled + the reduced Processor state, made the Laptop run extremely cool, at the cost of reduced performance. Personally I like Turbo Boost & Speedstep active while reducing the processor state to 85% to be the sweet spot. Laptop runs great, and doesn't get super hot!
PS: To access Speedstep/Turbo boost, press F12 at system boot up when Dell logo appears
And how about for games .
@@OlaArnold26 The laptop can handle older games quite well, but for some reason there's a noticeable input lagg while playing them. I've never been able to figure out how to fix that, so I don't recommend it for gaming.

Yeah, these things are infernos with that awful little heat pipe. You'd have to cut the bottom out and put it on a cooler to really get full use out of the components

Before changing the processor, you need to install the latest BIOS from the official website of the laptop manufacturer in the laptop.

Late reply, but yes, this laptop is horribly undercooled for the CPU+GPU combo. It was engineered for much less powerful ones

Hi, yes e6440 laptop with i7-4910 mq will run really hot on that e6440 small laptop and does support quad core with latest BIOS update.

TL;DR: No
intel 4600 is an iGPU. Integrated into the CPU. You can use external video card to have better graphics or buy a normal PC.

@@butnoyes_5778 I recommend buying processors i7-4702MQ , i7-4712MQ -> is a 2x increase in performance. If the laptop has a double tube in the cooling system, then you can use the i7-4800MQ. I do not recommend installing other processors, so that the transistors in the motherboard power circuits do not burn out. After installing the i7 processor, you can install DDR3L-1866 / DDR3L-2133 memory modules in a laptop, optimally 4GB+4GB, you can 8GB+8GB

FIRST, I know that according to the OFFICIAL Specifications by DELL this Laptop (Dell Latitude E6540) can ONLY support UP TO 16GB of RAM. Now I ask: Did anybody tried to install 32GB of RAM on it?
