This was really interesting. I “want” such a bender, but can’t justify buying one. Although my need is usually to bend much smaller diameter tubes. This gives me a basis for something to fit my needs (OK, my ‘wants’). You’re a clever man, thank you. Les in UK 🇬🇧
I read somewhere that if you pack the pipe full of sand it won’t deform when you bend it. The tightly packed sand keeps the pipe from collapsing. Also, thanks for the great video! We all learn a lot from your process of isolating failures and seeing your work-arounds.
Yes, I have heard the same about sand. I think that is smart if you bend it without using a die, typically if you use heat to make the pipe more 'bendable' 😊 Glad you liked the video, and yes - I learn from my failures all the time 😝😅
All the tables in my workshop are on wheels so I can move them around and transform the space to a garage for parking my cars as well. It's very smart, but not ideal for attaching a bending machine 😔
I think this was a great project !, One question, Im planing to buy a 3D printer for house use and because my 10 years old if getting deep into Blender, but the problem is I know nothing about 3D printing, but can I see you are able to make big parts and the quality and finish product looks very good to me, can you please tell me what printer are you using and what kind of plastic material you use for the black plastic parts ? , Thanks in advance. Thanks 😊 Your situation sounds very familiar! My son learned 3D modelling using Blender around that age as well, and it was his idea to buy 3D printer. It became a Christmas present to both son and dad - best Christmas present ever 🤩🤩🤩 If your son is interested: just run and buy a 3D printer ASAP! Me and my kid spent hours and hours, evening after evening figuring out the technology = best investment you can do for your kid = quality family time! We bought an Creality Ender 3 Pro, but remember this was years ago. Most of the printer is upgraded and rebuilt since then. Buying an Open Source based printer that needs to be assembled is best if you want your kid to learn the technology. You can of course buy an "out of the box" ready printer as well, even with service agreement, it all depends if it's just for fun or for creating an environment for learning engineering skillsets 🤓 I print mostly using PETG these days, it's very durable. I have used PLA as well, it's easier to use, you can print faster but it's more brittle and not as durable. Good luck with your 3D printer journey! 😊

Mate, don´t get me wrong, i love your videos and your type of humor, but why you don´t BUY this bended Seat-Thing ? Cost you between 15 and 40 euros, thats probably 150 - 400 Kronar ? I mean, i saw it on amazon a few month ago, because i want to do a sililar project..... On the other hand, if you bought one, we had no video from you, thats not good......Is it a " i can do it on my own" thing ? From the costside, it must be............ anyway, i would like to see your next gardening video...... or whatever you do Like your fight and loose with the washingmashine ( and who not), we all had that problem, but a russian video here on youtube, solve that problem
I think the ones you can buy for that price are for smaller pipes. The ones that can manage 25mm / 1inch normally costs more than $200 / NOK2000 - here in Norway at least. I wanted one with a die that could bend the pipe at exactly 260mm / 10inch diameter. That is more or less impossible to find. I do however sometimes build stuff or try to repair stuff even though it might be easier and perhaps even cheaper to buy a new one. It's fun, environmentally friendly and as you say: it can be a fun video 😁

Maybe if you were able to clamp it to a bench vice, it would be easier to use in the workshop
