Thank you so much for doing this series. This has been super helpful for me. I’m on day 8 after my surgery. It’s Thanksgiving today but I can’t eat anything yet. I don’t get to do my swallow test for another 5 days and I’ve been really curious about what I will be able to eat.

I'm so glad I have got to see your struggles and tribulations! I'm 54 y/o and have my surgery in 6 weeks time. About 3 weeks before my 55th. I'm scared shitless and fear I will just pull out. I have to have salvage surgery because of the intense radiation treatment. I hope your good heath has continued Terry

Hello Nigel, not a fun thing to go thru but this surgery is the best way "Currently" make a full recovery. When I struggle with the complications form this procedure I keep telling myself.... At least I'm not Dead!"

Thank you for sharing your journey. I am 34 and has been diagnosed with Achalasia. I am having the same Esophagectomy surgery. My surgery is scheduled for next week. It has been 3 years since your surgery. How has life been since?
