    Thank you for sharing this lovely tutorial! I was wondering how you resist-stitched the pattern on the orange fabric? I would really like to recreate it :)

      Kriti Behari I put together instructions that you can download as a pdf here: www.onlinefabricstore.net/blog/download/23560/
      I'm not sure the size of the template is the same as in the video, but close. It takes a LOT of time, but is totally worth it!

    I tried this a few times, but the dye still penetrates the fabric everywhere. I don't know why. Maybe I used the wrong kind of thread? Doe you have an idea what the problem could be?

    • @mariarosegeorge1100
      @mariarosegeorge1100 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Use polyester thread since they wont absorb the dye and tie it as tightly as you can so that the dye wouldnt penetrate

      You want it to be as close to boiling as possible. The hotter the water, the better it will come out.

    Is this normal thread which u r using

    • @onlinefabricstore
      @onlinefabricstore  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Priyanka, We used nylon upholstery thread to be able to pull hard without the thread breaking. We suggest nylon or polyester thread over cotton because cotton thread absorbs the dye too easily.

      I think it's because she's got a tounge stud in, I could hear it hitting her teeth. Generally they make people sound lispy so I guess she was just trying hard to enunciate clearly for us.

    • @onlinefabricstore
      @onlinefabricstore  9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      +rose eichholz Thanks for bringing that up. I've heard varying opinions on this. It does bleed and fade, but the dye is non-toxic (www.ritstudio.com/safety/). I imagine babies will put much worse things in their mouths, including store bought clothing! But it's certainly worth noting for anyone looking to dye baby clothes. For anyone concerned, fiber reactive dyes (like Dylon www.onlinefabricstore.net/brand-dylon.aspx) are the safest to use since they bond to the fibers and don't bleed.
