Adobe Photoshop CS6 for Beginners Tutorial - Layer Styles

Effects can be added to individual layers in Photoshop that automatically change as a layer is modified. The combination of effects on any given layer is called its Layer Style. I'll teach you how to use and make your own layer styles in this tutorial.
What are Layer Styles?
Layer styles are special effects that can be quickly and easily applied to individual layers in Photoshop to drastically change the appearance of something in very little time. They can be preset, customized, or even saved and used for later.

Ok!! this is my comment!! First of all your approach to the program for the viewer is loud and clear as mentioned below. I have seen a lot of tutorial videos and i do it for living, so far your approach and explanation is good!! But!! if you want to make it more attractive and valuable in my opinion you really need is a structure. for the skills you tutor, you need to make a good project example so that the viewer know exactly what difference is made( or know what is going on) . second! in the beginning of the tutor show the viewer what he/she will be able to make after watching the tutor.( show the original picture and the edited version) This makes the viewer more interested on the learning process.

i have just watched this video and i honestly think the structure is fine. i was looking for a video to increase my understanding of the layer style and this video was a massive help! There was no irrelevant information which i greatly appreciate. If you did a tutorial for this tool with a project example, the video would of been much longer and packed with a lot of irrelevant information. Thank you!

Hey! This is the first time i am going to comment on any tutorial video. I was searching for a good tutorial since last one month. But after it tutorial i got nothing clear about the ps thing mean to say how things work and what is exact function of a tool. i mess up and fade up and decided not to learn photoshop at all even after completing some paid tutorial also. but after watching ur tutorial life has been return again. I really liked your video. I know I was a beginner but am really not I have been using CS6 for some time but most of the time I was struggling along on my one and picking up a tutorial here and there as a lot of them were so fast they were over and I would have to keep going back to them to get the hang of what I was trying to do which frustrated me end.I liker your style. Your voice is friendly and your information easy to understand. The slight problem you have with some of the words just makes me think.Hey that's a real human being on the other end so don't change your style too much as I am sure their are
many people feel the same. I have been with photo shop 6 for some time now and have always been frustrate the I couldn't work out many of the aps.

Hi KingTutsPro, i'm knew at cs6, like the way you explain everything, can u explain me the diference betwen RGB and CMYK? Why do u use RGB?
One friend told me CMYK was better, idk why.
