Well, not the best quality for the latter half - but, hey, I'll take any video recording of Jimmy Reed! Such a sweet soft-spoken guy. He will be missed.
@@steveboyle184 I certainly do enjoy the works of Howlin' Wolf, Muddy Waters, and Little Walter - but Jimmy Reed is #1 in my book! I think not enough people appreciate how influential he was. The Rolling Stones, for one, cited Jimmy Reed as one of their major influences.

Considering that he sold more records than most of the other big blues artists, it's weird there is so little footage of Jimmy.

The best ever
Not only is this a great moment in the history of Music, it’s also American History - Oh My God Jimmy Reed is Great!
A rare video of the great JR's live performance ... definitely a keeper! Thanks for the upload.
No problem!
Thanks for sharing!
You're welcome, shame there isn't more Jimmy Reed to share
Priceless footage - period.
This is the first live video of Jimmy Reed I've seen on TH-cam. Maybe I'm missing a bunch of videos that are out there somewhere.
Same
That's blues
Bobby Gentry covered his song & made it popular.
Elvis, BB King, and Waylon Jennings, and the Grateful Dead all made this song way more popular
What the hell is up with the cameraman? They don't want to show his hands?
It's the editor, I'm afraid.
@@andrewelliott4436 And the compere is no better.
How can we screw a Jimmy Reed clip up? Edit it so the viewers experience vertigo
Wonder why they never Pat Boone to sing this.
Now, TH-cam, you'd better not interrupt Jimmy Reed to give us some political ad!!
