    Im 16 and have been blessed with the opportunity to become an HVAC helper because a lady I work with at my restaurant is the head something(I can't remember lol) of an HVAC union and they are going to pay me to learn under them and start working for them, I'm so blessed that I can start this as early as I am and I can't wait to see where this takes me

      Great job!! Amd good luck ! by the time your 26 you'll be able to buy your own house and you'll most likely be making close to $30 an hour depending on what direction you take your carrear

    Do yourself a favor and get some low loss fittings, at least one for the high side hose. then you wont have as big of a problem taking off the high side like you had.

    do you put the panel cover back on in case of leaks or something? im NOT HVAC, but i do swear at them when they obscure, cover up or route in front of my wires

    So should I go to School to learn first or get in as a helper for the summer and then begin taking classes in the fall while working or just working and learning from there.

      Skillcat online. Earn epa 608 certification and you’ll get a job anywhere

    I start as a helper on monday do they just throw you out their or do they show you what to do first?

    The machine has to be running to know what your super heat even is. How did you determine the superheat

      @@unitedtradesmanacademy1894 Well anything really, But I really like Electrician and HVAC but it’s been so difficult for me to get hired in California or to even get my foot in the door I apply on indeed as a helper/ apprentice but no luck. I’m currently 21 and looking for a career change I just don’t know how.

      @@JoeGoldberg577_ Go ahead an get your apprentice electrician card if you dont its $30 and get you some cheap work boots an pants Walmart brand.This will make you look more serious about your life. Look at Independent Electrical Contractors School or the Local Electricians Union Hall. Do a Google search to find them in your area.

      @@JahonCross Yes you have to start at the bottom an work your way up. Depending on your aea starting pay may be $15 per hour
