45:31 - Whiteout spam chaining by both thralls is actually really powerful since the lowered visibility makes it much harder to move the ship, much harder to see lootable containers, not walk into predators like wolves or bears and can obviously be combined with Cannibal Attack (making cannibal attack stronger since they will get much closer before you see them, making it harder to pick them off with guns). Anything that slows down the Crew is *huge* and nothing slows you down better than not being able to see shit. That's my opinion anyway.
Is the game darker all of a sudden? Like, I knew already that ship variant with dark blue lights was not helping, but now it feels like, very dark all over, sometimes its all just black and wonder how Kaif's seeing anything himself.
It does seem darker. As for how can Kaif see anything: Video compression generally prioritizes bright pixels of a frame because those are what most people want to see in most cases (the purpose of the compression is to save space on disk, after all). So, darker areas become less detailed compare to brighter areas in a frame. Kaif play the game on his computer where the frames are generated in real-time by the GPU without any compression and have much more details that what we saw in the video.
I'm hella late to this vod but it depresses me to no end knowing the offical servers for this game are going down. I read the dev team is going to give people the ability to host their own and i really hope SR does that in the future; Dread Hunger is like my favorite game to see you guys play.

Is it just me, or did the game seem more fun in the earlier updates? Back when you could make rifles by upgrading your pistol, and when pickaxe ice walls wete abundant. When making a satchel was actually worth it every once in a while, and when tea was a vital resource for heat management. Maybe not have the bone charms be a limited resource, but yknow. Idk, it just felt like there was another layer, and there was more to do. Nowadays, it just seems like "run out, get coal, ignore everything else, run back, deal with thrall shenanigans, repeat until the ice wall breaks, then run for the exit." Does anyone else agree, or am i just being whiny?
The game was better when everyone was noobs and the bugs were minimal. Nowadays everybody is a veteran try hard(me included), there are a nice amount of bugs (Ex: Cannibals can’t go up ice walls which is bs), and there are a crap ton of crew sided exploits that ruin the game for thralls. The devs are crybabies and even though the last update was around 2 years ago, none of the problems that I have listed have been fixed, and now the game is officially being shut down on January 1.
Its from an old stream of dread hunger I was a thrall and was climbing down ice and jumped off too early, killing myself I told everyone i died to a dragon and not that i died in a dumb way
