For me animation is always on point compared to other inconsistent series

@@neitomonoma8457 I'd say it's more their arrogance and narrow-mindedness. Spear is a moronic skirt chaser. Bow is an egotistical jerk with a self-centered sense of "Justice". Sword (while being pretty reasonable) is a loner who doesn't really know how to work with others.
Naofumi, while far from perfect, is a team player and understands the bigger picture. That's why he's so effective.

Naofumi is in multiple ways a lot similar to all those heroes. He even stated in the web novel that if the read hair cumt never made false rape accusations, then he would have easily been exactly like the other three heroes.
Its more of like their pride
The fact that the shield, the weapon that they all considered the weakest, became strong enough to take on all 3 of them, it gets to the point that(in the LN) the heroes refuse to listen to Naofumi because they are so pent up on the idea that Naofumi is cheating and just doesn't want to tell them how to do it.
@@jameswest6232 In other words, Naofumi is the perfect Tank/Healer, while the other Three Heroes are just a bunch of Dipshit DPS Leeroy Jenkins' whose modus operandi boils down to Basic Attack Ability alongside _"Group Up And Hit It Til' It Dies."_
That’s the fourth time now this show has made me feel more emotion over a character/set of characters.

The ultimate rule in anime. when the main protagonist battling a powerful enemy that is hard to defeat , always use the first opening of the anime series.
This is probably the first time the Four Heroes have actually worked together all series. And probably the ONLY time that Naofumi and his archnemesis have ever worked together.
The 4 heroes fighting together & the 1st op playing in the background is just too good.
Ren does have potential. Isuki is a little too indecisive... and then there's the dumbest primate in existence

Everyone has to admit, when the main theme starts playing during a big fight, it’s the most badass thing in the world.
You know, I hope that after lots of character development, the four heroes fight together like this again. I mean, Naofumi will always be most powerful from here on out, because protagonist, but I can’t wait to see some more of Ren. He actually seems pretty chill, even if he’s pretty aloof.

Technically, friendship suggests team synergy, aka working well together. Being op against an op enemy won't work too well if you can't coordinate attacks

Agreed. I just can't get into the new opening. Visually, it is beautiful, but the song just doesn't captivate me. It's not bad, but it's not special.
Meanwhile, the first opening made me feel like, no matter how many timee I were to watch it and listen to it, I would *never* want to skip it. At all.
But atleast the first op plays in fight scenes. :)

Even to this day i still think about something. If the Pope, and subsequently, everyone didn't have tree trunks up their butts, used shields to, and i can't stress this enough, "COMPLEMENT" their fighting style, like Sword and Shield, Spear and Shield, or a simple buckler and bow set-up. Adding a shield to any weapon makes it so much more powerful since you can defend and attack at the same time. The simple fact that the spear and sword have counter techniques, still makes me think about how if Naofumi used Parry skills, he'd be the most op hero possible

Naofumi is the real powerhouse of the Four Heros. He's also the Leader and has the tactical experience needed in order to help them overcome things. He *has to* be tactical in his way of fighting because he only has a Shield. Things were going well until they decided to go against Naofumi's order's. He knows how to best use their abilities

Something tramatic needs to happen to the heroes so that they grow up.
And that's exactly what happens.

No more team ups but they do fight on the same side towards the same goals from now on. The 3 heroes work as a team but naofumis party usually isn't with them. They might start teaming up again in volume 15 though. (Think: climax of season 3 or beginning of season 4 in anime terms. Chapter 100ish in manga terms. Not even in English til December in light novel terms)
@@thedarklordx I know this sounds ridiculous to be true but some Russian fans of the LN who can read Japanese have translated the untranslated volumes from Japanese to Russian. I myself can read Russian and they do start teaming up again after volume 15, right after Atla's death, who you guys won't be meeting until later on. In volume 16 and 17, the heroes are teaming up normally now, but Naofumi is cooperating better with Ren and Itsuki compared to Motoyasu.
