I graduated in 1976, and we lost quite a few classmates to AIDS, from used needles, blood transfusions, sex with multiple partners. My mom freaked out because my friend and I were going to see a friend with AIDS, she swore we could get it just by being in the same room as him, Karen and I were glad we went to see him because he died 2 weeks later.

While one can appreciate the effort to remember and praise the life and work of the gay actors mentioned in the video, the result is undermined by the many photos of actors that have nothing to do with the actor being discussed. Exquisite Narration. In the early
1970’s when I was 18, and living on Beacon Hill in Boston, I would frequent a “Butch” bar, as it was referred to then, called Sporters. Leaning against the central rectangular bar one night, much to my surprise I turned and noticed Rod McKuen sitting at the bar, nursing a beer. and seeming relaxed and at home. I honored his privacy with just a smile, and a nod. Perhaps it was there that someone whispered “He and Glenn (“Baby, The Rain Must Fall) Yarbrough are lovers”.

I always wondered what Rod McCuen (wrong spelling) looked like, I had all his records and still play them . What a persons life is like is really none of our business, but people’s ability and contribution to this life are what count the most. Their hearts and souls are viewed by only one.. and He is the One that counts. This horrible disease has taken away so many, famous or not. Everyone is someone’s child, husband, person who they love. Life is hard enough without being judged by people who most of us have never met. Love is love and people are people. May God have our souls rest in peace in His loving arms…❤

@@timetravelclock2When referring to 'Old Hollywood' that is a 'time period' referring to a 40yr. spand 1920 - 1959. This spand has two parts, Golden Years the 1920's & '30s with the remaining two decades the '40s & '50s as part of 'Old Hollywood'. After that from the '60s on is a 'New Hollywood', time does march on. But then you have another 40yr. time period from 1960 to 1999. And now another 23yrs. have past since entering the 21st. century in 2000. All it is is labeling, like history in general but the time frame is more, Ancient Greece, Middle Ages, Renaissance, Age of Exploration, Age of Enlightenment, Industrial Revolution, etc. It's just a time reference, but in this video titled 'Old Hollywood' started with one gay actor from the 1920's and then jumping way ahead to recent time fame is ridiculous. No mention of actors like Clifton Webb, Randolph Scott, Cary Grant(bi) Sal Mino, Rock Hudson, Troy Donahue, etc. There was too much of a time frame jump and using the term 'Old Hollywood'. To all those gay actors Great, Good, Average or Below Average who struggled with their identities, a great care of thanks and respect to them. God Bless and R.I.P. 🙏🌈
