What I love about Cates run on venom as well is that he organically grows Peter and Eddies relationship from assholes to each other, to “respected” allies, to what you maybe can call friends as Peter helps Eddie out with protecting his son, Venom to Peter in the “go down swinging” arc and by the end Peters seen visibly proud of Eddie by the end of King in Black after they won

It's good, of course neither of them is bad, but in both every arc is just a one-up towards the story they seemed to have in mind in the first place. Just like every JL story is a "road to Death Metal", every Venom arc is a "road to King in Black". The constant upping the ante thing gets tiring for me, especially for this long a run.

Dylan Brock is 9 years old according to the solicit for Venom Vol 4 #15 , adding the nine months of pregnancy, we can say it’s been roughly ten years since the clone saga. Making Peter Parker 34 at least.

One of the symbiote characters i liked was called scorn. Woman has a cybernetic arm made with symbiote stuff. One gets birthed in there. She bonds with it and gets tech powers. Aaaand then she disappeared from canon only to pop back up and die ...damnit
The venom symbiote bonded to alien war lord and than dead pool and that drove it insane and even with Peter Parker goodness was not enough and because him rejecting it that was final straw and made venom mad and insane.
I was initially a skeptic of this run bc it seemed like he was shifting the venom lore to an off-brand, unrecognizable place (Knull). But after reading the run, the ideas are so fucking clever that I can’t help applaud the direction he’s taken the Venom-verse.

I'm so glad that you did this story I know your taste Sal and I respect it but I love what they have done with Venom over the years now and now he's become a "real boy" and now not just a trinket to Spider-man stories
Venom already had his own stories and the spider on the suit doesn’t make sense if Venom didn’t go on Spider-Man first. Now all the symbiotes have a version of it from the planet with Knull which is dumb.
