0:05 You need a few things to get started: Campfire materials, some logs, a lighter, and a working vehicle.
0:11 Find a car in the area and park closely besides it, blocking the drivers seat.

0:19 Get in the drivers seat and honk the horn, or turn on the siren if it's an emergency vehicle.

Another way to do it is set up the campfires, set up the siren and leg it until you're at a safe distance. If you manage to hole up in a secure location, you can use the time that the zombies burn to actually level up your skills, as opposed to sitting inside a car potentially for days expending resources. You can even farm sneaking with all the zombies.
It's just as effective as this method while leaving you clear to go about your business (within that tile).
Yes! This is how I level up sneaking. But quite recently after some time the siren goes kaput so you might need to leg it when the zombies start losing interest in the emergency vehicle. Staying inside the car/emergency vehicle(as shown on this video) will keep the zombies constantly on you so even after the siren gets busted you won't have to worry about the few zombies randomly roaming around causing huge fires around town.

@@dignifytv absolutely. I've never had that issue with a new ambulance or first responder vehicle. I've had that happen with shitty broken down cars. Another thing that can happen if you play with insane zombies is that eventually the fires go out and you have to reignite the crowds with a Molotov. If you were doing that with the car blocking strat you'd be fucked.

@@IcespherePlaysGames As far as I Know it depends on the world chunk. Once you leave the chunk I don't think the game can track the burning status of each zombie and the siren stops magically. This is in my personal experience.
There is another way that excludes cars: build two circles: a circle of TVs inside a circle of campfires, and a generator inside the circles. The generator turns on, all TVs turn on at maximum volume, the player sits quietly inside and watches a culinary show on all TVs at once, and zombies are burned in fire.
And you get a free lvl in cooking while your at it and can make a mean stew when you are done.

@@cr4yv3n You can stock up on water, food and books. Actually, the problems are the same as with the machine method - it takes a lot of time. Or you may not sit in a circle at all, but go to the shelter and return in two days.

The zombies will bash they heads on the car, doing damage, on large hordes, everything on the car will be destroyed, so, keep that in mind while planning to do this

Honestly, once everything is fix and more challenging, I hope that they buff some construction, such as metal door, wall, and fences.
@@Zack_Zander they need to add a DT (Damage Threshold) for construction.
Like say wood walls have DT4. This means 3 zeds banging on it will do NO dmg. 4th comes, it starts taking dmg. Metal fences should have a DT of 10. 9 zeds dono dmg, 10 start to do dmg, then there is A DR (Damage reduction%)
Dr is skill required +5%/ extra lvl.
This is an example. Point is there are solution to prevent one fucker bulldozing every wall from North to South through your base while u r away.

@@solarchos8821 I do think it's any stove. It can also happen for microwaves when you leave a metal thing inside, like a spoon.
Cooked some meat in a stove in a regular house, forgot about it and slept.
It was burning the next day, and a good chunk of muldraugh was incinerated.
I just reset the game because it burned down a lot of shit, and it was still just spreading on the ground non-stop.
You forgot to mention, always bring food and water worth of a day or two. Also, do this on a open field or parking lot. You don't want you safehouse or you unloot places to be burned.
One thing to remember though: the car will likely be trashed from the Zombies attacking it and you might end up with negative moodlets due to all the corpses.
Just grab some beta blockers, literature, food and water and be fine inside your car for 2 or 3 days until zombies will burn out completely, without new to come.

This method saved my safehouse from a massive hoard that I wouldn't have been able to fight otherwise. Nurse is my Zomboid savior.
It is also the best method to level up shooting, just open the driver's window and shoot the zombies

This game has a few touches of realism with goofy possibilities like this and blocking with invulnerable TVs…A classic mix of real and unreal makes for a fun game

alright so i packed up supplies, right? got the campfire together and the vehicles set up just right. I light the fire and get in the car and turn on the siren. i look out the windows and see a small blaze start to spread across the zombies. it's working! i'm actually doing it! then the siren turns off. no matter, i'll just lay on the horn. and then i fat fingered E. took that as a sign i should go to bed.

Wasn't there something about a rework on how the zombies interact with cars? I remember them wanting to add them ebing able to crawl under or over the cars but not sure if they could climb into a busted window.
They can now climb under cars, so car walls aren't useful anymore, however this type of zombie burn still works perfectly!
@@czechoslovakia7105 car walls can still work if you put a second car in front that blocks the gap under the first layer of cars with its wheels.
I'm surprised there's not some sort of mechanic yet where zombies can break car windows and yank you out.

I'm doubling down on PZ right now, but I do plan to add variety back into my channel when the channel grows some more.
This method also seems useful for when you want to farm aiming xp. If you have a gun. Just grab as much ammo as you can and just free fire and boom, easy aiming levelling

My way to clearing a zombie horde is to play a Doom Music, Reload my Shotgun with Malicious intend, and Finally RIP AND TEAR 😈
and then get eaten just because you made a lot of noise AND you wasted your ammo

I think you can play the siren on a car that isn’t a responder type. It has three music options, some jumpy bop jazz, classical orchestra, and mad metal man music.

I just tried this, set myself on fire. I'm pretty sure some of the zombies gained their humanity just enough to laugh at me.

Remember folks you can grab yourself a shotgun and some ammo to shoot out of the windows of the car to level up your aiming and reloading as well. Might as well since the point is to make some noise for the zombies to come.
Take some beta blocker pills which reduce your panic and go to sleep on the vehicle menu to fast forward the time. I just went to sleep and when I woke up all the zombies were dead.

It would be cool if Project Zomboid had a hard limit on the number of zombies that could every spawn, and that was 7 billion. So theoretically you could kill every single zombie and make the world safe from the zombie plague.

Yes, you can turn off zombie respawn in sandbox mode. Which, I would recommend to any players anyway.

I don't know how the zombie generation works but I don't think that taking out a large amount of zombies ultimately affects the amount of zombies in an area. Isn't it so that they just respawn to fill the spaces after a relatively short while?
Depending on your setting. But in default it will slowly replenished their number.
i dont play with respawns (i play on the survivor settings preset but with respawns disabled) but if you have respawns on they slowly respawn over time and due to zombie migration zombies from other areas will wander in to fill the areas which are clear of zombies. if you do this several times then obviously it will still put a huge dent in their numbers for a while

@@nickybooart i agree. the amount of zombies already doesnt make sense at all. there will be like 100 zombies in a neighborhood of 17 houses at the start and even MORE will respawn, like that just makes no sense lol
If you are slow at killing a large amount of zombies, they will increase in number due to respawn.

it really brings to the forefront the disconnect between gameplay and lore, in that unless you turn up the zombies into super strong super tough 100% sprinters with hawk eyes and ultra hearing, which would make the game impossible to play, it is difficult to see how the military would become overwhelmed by them, if the zombies fall for this kind of thing
Not really. In the lore there are two strains of the virus, one that infects through the air to which the player is immune, and another that is spread by direct contact with the bites.
So we can assume that what really defeated the military is that almost every soldier got infected trough the air, and the ones who didn't because they were immune, survived in small pockets or got killed in the chaos.
@@lucaskriger8340 and also it doesn’t matter how big your gun is or how much ammo you have if one zombie nabs you as you come through a doorway or round a corner. As soon as that happens that soldier is doomed and there’s going to be one more zombie for the rest to deal with.
